Chapter 25

Cody's POV

I whined as I watched the landscape go by. "I shouldn't have left her." I said and looked at Tate

Tate frowned at me. "Cody she will be ok. Claire is with her don't worry." He said and looked at the road sighing seeing the Smith's Alpha house.

I frowned. Something didn't feel right. Shrugging the feeling away I got out of the car and headed inside after Tate.

Josh Smith looked over at us. "Thank you two for coming. I know you didn't want to but it's greatly appreciated." He said and shook our hands.

I held in a growl following them into the meeting room.

I looked down at a map on the table. It was scattered with red X's. "These x's mark where there have been encounters with the rouges." Josh said looking at the map.

"There is no pattern to these x's; they don't lead or surround nothing in common!" Tate said angrily looking at the map.

I couldn't agree more with my cousin. "They are always a step ahead of us. When we find out information on their location, we head for it, and they are gone." Josh growled.

Tate looked at me giving me a look. I sighed. I knew that look. "Josh, you have a spy amongst your pack that knows about what we are talking about in this room." I said sternly

The room grew quiet and the other Alphas looked at Josh. "Who have you gotten as a new member of your inner circle?" Tate asked.

"My patrol leader." Josh growled and looked at his Beta. "Bring him in now!" He yelled.

I sighed and looked at the map. I growled feeling my phone go off. I grabbed it out and saw it was Charles. "What is it. This better be something important Charles!" I yelled answering the phone making the Alphas turn their attention on me.

"S...sir someone took the girls and Taylor. We can't find their scent they spread bleach everywhere to mask their scent." Charles said urgently.

I dropped my phone onto the table. My worst fear has come true. I knew I shouldn't have left them. My body froze; my wolf froze in shock.

Tate looked at me worried and grabbed the phone; putting it on speaker. "Charles this is Tate. Cody has gone into shock. Please tell me what happened." He said

Charles whined. "Someone took the girls and your son. They covered their scent with bleach but there are tire tracks leading somewhere; we loose the trail when they turned onto the pavement." He said

Tate growled. "What way did they turn Charles?" He asked and looked at me frowning

My body had gone numb with anger as it filled me. Rage was building up inside me.

"They went south sir." Charles said

"Damn it Charles! I gave you one job! That was to protect your Luna and Claire and her son!" I yelled hitting the table making Tate jump. "Cody calm down." He said calmly.

I looked at him. "Calm down! You want me to calm down Tate! No! I will not calm down! My mate is missing and she could go into labor anytime! I don't get why you aren't freaking out! Your mate and your son are missing too!" I yelled and shoved past him and a couple of the other Alphas.

"Cody where are you going!" Jet yelled. I turned towards him. "To find my mate." I snapped and ran out of the house shifting into my wolf.

I soon was hearing others behind me running after me. I growled. I needed to find her.

Soon I was tackled down by two wolves pinning me down.

Josh ran up to us shifting back to his human form breathing hard. "Cody we questioned the imposter and he told us where they could be hiding the girls." He said
