Chapter 23

**skipping to where Rose is five months pregnant**

Rose's POV

I groaned sitting in the recliner chair in the living room. I thought I was miserable two months ago.

Everything hurts on me. My back, legs, boobs, you name it it hurts. Cody is trying his best to comfort me but sometimes it just doesn't work.

I rubbed my swollen stomach and sighed. I know it will get bigger still and I'm just worried. My baby hasn't moved yet and Claire said her son was moving around this time.

Cody walked into the living room holding in his hands Chinese take out.

"Oh Cody you're a life saver." I gasped and sat up some

Cody chuckled. "Anything for you honey." He said and handed me the food. I smelt amazing. I had been complaining for days wanting Chinese food. I guess he finally got fed up listening to me.

I opened up the boxes and started to eat my sesame chicken humming. "This tastes so good." I mumbled with a mouth full of food.

Cody laughed watching me stuff my face. "Don't choke on the food and remember to chew." He teased.

I blushed red and slowed down humming. "Do you have anything to do today?" I asked.

Cody quickly frowned. "We have to attend a meeting." He said frowning.

I growled. "Let me guess I'm not allowed to skip." I snapped.

Cody whined and looked down at the floor. "I'm sorry honey but it's our annual meeting once a month we have with our Luna's. They let the others slide when you didn't feel well but you need to be at this one." He whined and looked at me upset

I growled. "Fine." I snapped and set my food down and pushed myself up and out of the chair and went to our room.

Cody whined following after me and wrapping his arms around me setting them on my stomach. "I know you are upset right now. I'm worried too about the baby not moving yet but maybe it's shy right now." He whispered and rubbed my circles on my stomach

I hummed. He always knew how to calm me when I get upset. I leaned into him sighing. "I'm sorry it's just. What if...." I asked before I started to cry.

What if I loose this baby this late into my pregnancy. I couldn't handle that.  I couldn't live with myself if it happened again. If it happened it would be my fault not someone else's like before.

Cody gasped and turned me around and hugged me tightly. "Rose sweetheart calm down. You heard what Collins said yesterday the baby is very strong, has a steady heartbeat, and is one of the healthiest he has ever seen ok?" He said softly rubbing my back softly.

I hiccuped and pressed into him trying to calm down some.

Cody sighed and kissed my forehead and helped me get changed and fix my hair for the meeting.

I looked at him tiredly. Cody frowned and brushed my cheek. "I know you are exhausted. But you can sleep on the way to your uncles ok babe?" He said softly

I frowned but nodded and grabbed a blanket and took his hand and followed him to the car squeezing his hand tightly.

Cody hummed and looked at me. "Don't worry honey." He whispered and looked back at the road

I sighed and rested my eyes soon falling asleep.

Cody looked over and smiled at me and looked at the road and moved his hand to rest over my stomach.
