Alpha Cody

Chapter 15

It had been a few days since I lost my baby. I was still hurting my wolf was still hurting. Even though I was healed and the physical pain was gone I still had my mental pain.

Claire walked into my room and smiled a hand resting on her stomach and in the other she carried a cup of tea for me. I have to admit. I was jealous of her baby belly. I wish I still had mine. I forced a smile at her.

Claire walked over and sat on the bed with me. Cody was out doing alpha business. I think it kept his mind off the baby.

"How are you feeling?" Claire asked making herself comfortable on the bed. I took a sip of the tea.

"I don't know yet." I said and smiled at her. "Can we not talk about me? Can we talk about you and Tate and how you met?" I asked smiling. Claire blushed at me. "I guess." She said.

Claire's POV

I smiled at Rose. I could tell she was still hurt deep down on the inside. "Well we were from the same pack. I was a beta and he was obviously the son of the alpha." I said.

Rose smiled at me listening in closely. I giggled at a memory. "I remember once when we were children. Before our first shift we would run off from home and meet Cody in the woods. We would play in a near by meadow. Our parents would become furious with us. Then one day they didn't mind it. It wasn't until a few years later we realized they sent a guard to watch over us as we played." I said smiling.

I looked over hearing Rose giggle. I smiled big it had been days since she had giggled or even smiled the way she is now.

"Tate and I started growing apart when he started his alpha training once he had his first shift. I never left my house much after that. We didn't meet up with Cody either." I said frowning.

Rose took my hand and squeezed it softly. "I guess you could say I was becoming the loner of the pack. Even my parents stopped noticing me. They had more worries on their mind with raising my twin brothers. But I just started taking care of myself." I said softly.

I took a deep breath to calm myself.  My baby was making my emotions crazy. I looked up at Rose and smiled seeing that she was worried. "I was out walking through the woods and went to the meadow we used to play in. Normally no one was out there when I went. But this time someone was. I was confused at who it was then he turned his head. It was Tate. He stood and walked over to me and brushed my cheek. That's when I felt it. That's when we knew we were mates. I was fifteen and he was seventeen at the time and madly in love." I said blushed deep red.

Rose giggled. "Awww." She said teasing me. "Hey now." I said pointing a finger at her. Rose rolled her eyes smiling.

I giggled. "Well as you can see we met several times in the meadow. Did many many things there if you know what I mean." I said and nudged her with my elbow giggling. "Then one day...his father and my own followed us there. They caught us in the act." I said growing quiet.

"They didn't like us being mates. They both hated the idea of it." I said frowning

Rose frowned and rubbed my back softly. "They said if we saw each other again they would break the bond by sending me far away. Our mothers couldn't intervene they knew that it would make it worse." I said looking down at the blankets.

Rose pulled me into a hug. I sighed and leaned into her rubbing the side of my stomach. "Then Tate came of age and challenged his father. I was worried that he wouldn't Win his father was still strong. He had Tate when he was young. Believe it or not Tate is a few years older than me. I'm only 18 and he's now 20." I said and blushed deep red.

Rose smiled. "Cody is 20 and I'm 18. Almost 19 but age doesn't matter." She said smiling at me.

I blushed and nodded. "Well obviously Tate won. And as soon as he did he announced that we were mates just to rub it into our father's faces." She said.
