Mia Davis' house was an interesting style. It was old but it was new in its own way. Not a good choice in terms of sizing as the house was more like a cottage. We knocked on the wooden door. Mia walked out. "What do you want?" she demanded fiercely. We showed her our badges. "We would like to speak with you inside of that's alright." Jaz explained. Mia eyed us suspiciously. "Alright. But only if this isn't a bios ness scam." She said as she walked inside leaving the door open for us to enter.
We walked inside her sweet little home to find she was seated in an armchair. "If your wondering, I live in a home like this because could not afford anything else. That's why I live in a cottage when I'm only 32." Mia explained. "Ok then." Jaz muttered. "We are here because as you know the couple who were staying at the villa were murdered. The husband is your ex and from what we've heard you vowed revenge on him for rejecting him. We'd like a sample of your fingerprints please." I said carefully. Mia stood up angrily. "What do you mean? you think I murdered him? you have no proof!" she screamed. "We know that and to prove your innocence, let us take a sample of you prints." Amy explained. Mia was still eyeing us suspiciously. "Fine." She muttered. While Amy took her prints, Jaz and I discussed. "She's acting very suspiciously. We can't trust her." I whispered. "No we definitely can't. But we must wait for the tests." Jaz whispered back.
"I have the prints." Amy said coming over to us. "I don't think it was her though." "Why?" I hissed. "Because she was extremely sick and was in hospital on the night. Here's her doctors prescription proof." Amy showed us the paper. "She is still a suspect though." Jaz whispered.
"Thank you very much Mia." I said to her smiling politely. "You need to watch your back. They are on your track. " Mia said. "hmm?" Jaz asked confused. "The murderers are on your tail. They made me swear not to squeal otherwise I'm next." Mia explained. "They be playing one dangerous game, guns and cards." i nodded a thank you to Mia before we left, wondering what on earth was this murder for.
We took the 847 back to the lab. Dr jones took the samples and compared them. "Not a match. How strange it wasn't her." Dr Jones said overwhelmed at how exciting the investigation was getting. "Yes. She had a motive and everything but yet it was not her." Amy said. "We have nothing now." I muttered. "Not exactly." Jaz piped in. "What the hell do you mean? we have nothing!" I yelled. "Think about what Mia said. 'They be playing one dangerous game, guns and cards.'" Jaz explained thoughtfully. "Guns and cards? sounds like a casino game." Dr jones added. "She gave us a hint without actually telling us so she wouldn't be killed."Jaz said. "But what casino?" "Cowboys with cards." Amy said. "That's where we should check out. It might reveal something." Jaz murmured. "Where is it though?" I asked. Jaz shrugged and Amy shook her head. "I know where it is. I'll help you get there and in as well." Dr jones chimed in. "Really?" I asked. She nodded. "Thanks. Jaz said. "For everything." "It's fine. Really." Dr jones was blushing. "So we're off to the casino!"
