The airport was busy and overcrowded. Going through the queues was a nightmare and was frustrating. I never found out what Jaz said to the workers at the metal detector but they allowed us to go through with guns and knives.
We were seated on the plane near the back away from everyone.
"Do not eat or drink anything they give you. I mean it. Do not sleep either. It's every little chance they have of poisoning you." I explained quietly. "You are kidding right? no one would actually poison us right?" dr jones was really worried about it. "The possibility is small but it's better to be safe then sorry." Jaz explained. "Oh." A little more colour had returned to dr jones' face. I poked her. "Hey it's not going to happen. We are just taking caution." I said. All the colour had returned to her face by then.
"Attention passengers, attention. Please fasten your seat belts as we are taking off in exactly two minutes. Thank you." A voice said through the plane's speaker. We all fastened our seat-belts and continued talking.
"So what's the plan?" Jaz asked me. "I thought carefully. "I dunno." I shrugged. As the plane took off I began to think. "Hey! Maddy! maddy. Maddy!" Jaz yelled at me to get my attention. "What?" I asked her angrily. "What were you thinking about, you had that face on you have when you think." She said. "I was thinking about what Amy said. 'Yeah and make sure you take care of them fast so we can go see Big Ben's clock he promised to show us'." I repeated. "'Big Ben's clock that he promised to show us'. You don't think she meant Big Ben do you? Big Ben's clock would be up inside the clock. 'He promised to show us'. Show us the time!" Jaz said. "It's all going down at Big Ben in the clock tower!" I exclaimed. "But what's going down?" dr jones asked poking her head between the chairs. "Exactly. What's going down, when and what time? and what side is Amy on?" Jaz clearly was wondering like me, what was Amy's deal. "Friday." Dr jones said. "What?" Jaz and I both turned around and looked at her. "Friday. The officers said go to the airport on Friday. I recognised one of them from the casino, I thought you did as well. They are trying to keep us from being in London at 2:00 or 2:30 I'd say. We are on a plane home and by the tins we get to the tower it's too late." Dr Jones explained. I sat there staring at her. "Are you sure that you aren't a detective?" "No I'm not sure actually." Dr jones said laughing. Jaz shrugged. "You never know."
"Would you like something to eat or drink?" a lady with a cart filled with different foods and drinks asked us politely. "No thank you." Jaz said. "Me neither." I agreed with Jaz. "No thanks." Dr jones said shaking her head. I glanced at Jaz who slightly nodded.
The rest of the flight was basically the same. We just talked, no sleeping or eating and drinking. It was a caution thing even though we were absolutely starving.
"Please make sure you are in your seats with your seat-belts fastened." The same voice from the take off announcement announced that we were landing.
"When we are out of the airport we are going straight to dr jones' lab." Jaz muttered to us.
We quickly got off the plane and were out of the airport quite quickly. We took a bus to dr jones' lab.
