Vanessa-

Sebastian and I had been hanging out for a while again, from when we were fixing his house, to after we were done. It was nice to have him back as a friend again.

I whipped out my phone to see a text from Seb requesting us to hang out today, I replied yes and jumped into my car so I could drive to his house. As I parked in front of his home I saw he was already waiting for me, in the doorway, leaning against the recently painted wood and grinning at me. He beckons me to come inside and I follow.

Then he awkwardly tells me, "I need to ask you something, I know that we have been hanging out a lot lately, and I was wondering if you would want to do something else with me, like go to the movies or something." He was looking at his shoes and fidgeting his foot. I'm glad he was doing exactly that because he didn't notice my eyes widen with surprise. He continued, "Well, what I really mean is, well, I want you to be my girlfriend." Sebastian blurted out the last part. I began to think, a lot had changed in the days when Sebastian was gone.

I remember a couple months after Sebastian my new group of best friends became Angela, Leah, Brady, and Erik. We had been hanging out a lot since Seb left school, we all became very close. Then, there was the day that Erik asked me out. Of course I said yes because I too loved him how he loved me. We started doing things together and have been together since the time he asked me. We never had any trouble getting along and being together. Sebastian didn't know about our relationship though.

There was one day that really stood out to me in Erik and my relationship. He asked me one day to go to The Palm with him. The Palm was an incredible restaurant with amazing food, it was formal and everything there was fancy. I had always dreamed of going there. I immediately accepted his invitation and began to plan for to it.

The night of the date I started to panic. I mean, what was a teenage girl supposed to wear on a date to a fancy restaurant? I tried on every single dress that I owned. In the end, I settled with an elegant red dress with silk roses. I then looked at my watch and realized I was five minutes behind schedule, and rushed out the door.

I luckily arrived on schedule and met Erik on my way toward the restaurant. As we walked over to The Palm the cold Chicago air blew my hair out of its fancy bun and into my face, I quickly pushed it back into a fashionable position. It was funny how these little things could really get at me.

When we entered The Palm we were taken to a table right away, and we immediately started to talk. First about school, then about other things like our family and our previous relationships. There was one point when we just stopped, couldn't talk anymore, there was something keeping both of our tongues back. Erik leaned toward me, I looked into his eyes. Our noses so close they could've touched. I smiled a little bit and then closed my eyes as his lips hit mine. It was a wonderful night for both of us. But what could I do now that Sebastian had asked for an experience just like that?

I snapped back to reality because I realized I still had to answer Seb, "I'm sorry Sebastian but I can't go out with you, I just want to stay friends"

Then Sebastian said something I didn't expect, something that made my eyes widen in fear.
