Sebastian-

The day after visiting uncle Jerry I went to the orthodontist to get my braces tightened again. I was the only one of my family there. After all, because I was 16, I had my drivers license.

I signed in on the clipboard and looked back at the mirror that read "smile" on it to see the same brown hair and green eyes that I always saw. As I turned to go sit down a familiar face walked in.

It was Vanessa, it was such a coincidence that she was here to get her braces tightened on the same day as me.

I tried to act casual by sitting down in one of the only two seats left. There was an empty seat to my left that I was wishing Vanessa would sit in. Just as I thought, as soon as she signed in she came and sat next to me.

"You go to Canyon High School right?" I asked her.

"Yes," She replied, "You do too, right?"

"Yeah! I thought I've seen you around,"

Vanessa smiled.

"What are your favorite classes?" I asked, trying to make some small talk with her.

"You know, I really like Science and English" she answered.

"My favorites are history and english."

"Cool, what's your name?"

"Sebastian," I told her.

"I'm Vanessa,"

"I know"

"What was that?" Vanessa quickly asked me.

"Umm, nothing," I replied quickly.

As she started to tell me something I completely zoned out. I didn't hear what she told me because at that moment my girlfriend Roxane walked in. Her beautiful eyes looked my way, and she waved. She was here to pick up her little brother from his appointment. Her black silky hair shining in the light as she walked over to the front desk. We had been dating for at least four years by now. We knew we wanted to be with each other for the rest of our lives.

I started to panic as I saw her because I knew that if she saw me talking to another girl she would freak out. I was quickly searching my mind for something to do to prevent this. I was very lucky because at that same moment the orthodontist came out and called my name to come in and get my braces tightened. I knew this was the best thing that could happen, and at the best time so, I quickly said goodbye to Vanessa and swiftly walked into the room the dentists were beckoning me into.
