Will walked alongside (Y/n) in silence. Nico had gone his separate way after they had passed the Hades Cabin — a black cabin lighted with green fire that never burns out and a freaky skull for a door knob — saying that he'll meet up with them at the pavilion at lunch.
Will glanced down at his friend. She had gone quiet and the air around them was unusually uncomfortable. Her (E/c) eyes kept darting up to meet Will's yet she wouldn't speak. Will sighed, knowing that the reason they were awkward right now was because he had openly admitted that he and Nico had been in a relationship.
"Are you weirded out by me?" He asked quietly as they walked across the empt volleyball pit.
(Y/n) reeled back in surprise, her eyes wide in denial. "No! No! Why would I?" She shook her hands defiantly in front of her face. "We're free to love whoever we want to love right?"
Will looked down at his shoes, recalling his memories with the son of Hades from two years ago. His memories with Nico were indeed one of a kind. It was a miracle they hadn't even fallen out of friendship at all after what happened between them and the son of Apollo was highly grateful for it. "Yeah. But that's in the past, we're still going to remain very good friends even until we're old and wrinkly."
(Y/n) laughed, "That's good." she looked up at him, her big eyes twinkling. "I admire that. It takes an awful lot of courage to still remain friends with someone you had a past with and hearing that the both of you boys still managed to retain your friendship makes me happy."
Will managed a smile, "Yeah, it did."
"How long were you guys together?" (Y/n) asked.
"Almost a year." Will recalled, thinking back to the days he persistently told off Nico for shadow travelling. "We broke up one and half a year ago so we've both moved on." He added quickly, glancing down at the girl beside him.
"Why...?" (Y/n) fiddled with the hem of Will's jacket. "Why'd you both break up?" (Y/n) wanted to bit back a curse for being so nosy.
"Well..." Will looked towards Thalia's pine tree, where he first became friends with Nico during the war with Gaia. "We were both young. We were only 14 years old at the time. We fought alot. We loved each other, but...I guess we both fell out of it quickly than we thought we would." He shrugged.
(Y/n) nodded understandingly. Will was grateful that she didn't shun him the way others had after knowing his true nature. Even more grateful that she still looked at him the same way she always had whenever they see each other — respect. As they walked, the sun shone above them as snow fell lightly to the ground.
"If you don't mind me asking...are you like...fully gay?" She stammered nervously, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "I-I mean..."
Will thought for a bit, regarding the female in front of him. Seeing her cheeks pink made him want to singe it more. He smirked, slinging an arm around her waist and pulled her close bringing their faces near until their noses were a centimetre away from each other. (Y/n)'s eyes widened as she met his, her breathing turned shallow and through the jacket that Will lent her, he could feel her heartbeat thumping against his chest.
"U-um." She tried to pull away nervously, clearly uncomfortable with the near distance.
Will almost regretted it, but somehow it made him want to tease her more, maybe even prove to her that he's a man too and maybe—somehow— she'll see him more as a man this way. Will wrapped another arm around her waist to make it seem like he was hugging her. They were out in the public, but luckily it was still two hours too early for the campers to start waking up.
Will looked into her eyes, blue against (e/c), vaguely aware of his own heartbeat dangerously clashing against his ribs. Gods, she was beautiful. He dared himself to look down to her lips — lush and plump. Soft. He gulped down the temptation to lean down and kiss her and met her eyes again.
"Uh...Will..." She whispered, her eyes flitting nervously away. Her breath smelled like burgers and fries.
"I may like men," Will smirked, pulling her closer slowly. "But it doesn't mean that I don't like girls. I swing both ways babe." He leaned close to her, the skin of his lips grazing the outer skin of her ear sending a wave of shiver down her spine.
(Y/n) gaped, completely dumbfounded she couldn't respond. Will leaned away and winked at her, his chest shuddering lightly at her touch. It wasn't until a few moments later that it occurred to her that he was holding in his laugh. (Y/n) turned red and pushed Will away, catching on to his tease. She had been so surprised she didn't know how to react.
"You didn't look cool just then!" She lamely complained, stomping away with a huff.
Behind her Will laughed heartily, "That means I did!" He caught up to her and lazily slung an arm around her shoulder. This time with no intention to tease.
(Y/n) punched him in the gut and chuckled at the sight of Will's surprised face. "Revenge calls my friend. Revenge calls." She stuck out her tongue and ran towards the light of Cabin 12 with Will on fast on her wake.

When she arrived back in the cabin, everyone else was still soundly asleep under their heaps of covers. She looked up at the clock, it wasn't until two hours later everyone would start waking up. Her bones ached and her arms were heavy, she figured she could use some sleep too.
(Y/n) sighed out in relief as she carefully slipped off her slides and soundlessly closed the cabin door. She tiptoed back into her bunk, careful not to wake anyone and slipped inside her blankets. She snuggled in comfortably in the warmth before remembering that she didn't have her feathered blanket. It took her a second to also remember that Nico had taken it with him on the way back to the Hades Cabin.
"I'll ask for it later," She whispered lightly, reminding herself as she felt the heaviness weighing down her eyes.
Her breath was heavy as she stared up at the ceiling, thinking of the day that had occurred, a smile forming on her face. Her eyes drooped heavily, asking for a dreamless sleep and for once her mind obliged.
