In the same way the gods were immortal, Seraphine had been the same but rather than living one life continuously on, her soul is reborn and she born into the world once again. She was...simply put, given the gift to reincarnate by the gods through her blessed name.

Although, of course, her name was not always blessed nor was it cursed and before she was known as Seraphine — the blessed child — she was known as Sara, a mortal girl born from the love of a mortal woman and the river god, Peneus.

Oh, she was beautiful, truly an exquisite sight to behold. Her fair skin glittered like diamonds in the sun, her platinum hair shined like silk and the colour of her pupils was as though Demeter herself melted lavenders to pour into her eyes. But her appearance was not the only beautiful aspect of her. She was the purest of the pure and held such a kindness in her heart that even the gods above were moved by her. And thus, she was the called flower of Olympus and was offered to be an immortal by the gods so that she may stay with them forevermore.

However, Sara loved being human. She valued the idea of a life and the absolute thrill of living as a human, she wanted to continue living with her mother whom she loved, she wanted to find love, have a family and grow old with them; she wanted to continue experiencing countless things as a mortal. Therefore, the gods bestowed upon her the name of Seraphine — a name that was blessed by all 12 of the olympians — and as long as her soul carries it, she will be able to live and experience the life of a human for as long as she wanted.

It was on her eighteenth year that she met the love of her life. His name was Nicollos, a farmer's son who had little money to provide for a family yet nevertheless she still loved him and he loved her.

However, Phthonos - the god of envy - loved Seraphine and was envious her evident happiness in being with him; and Eris - the goddess of discord - shared Seraphine's love for the boy and hated her for being accepted by him.

On the day of their marriage, Phthonos came down from Olympus under the guise of a travelling actor and gave her congratulations, yet his word of congratulations was but a curse. A curse which broke Seraphine's short lived marriage with hate and anger. A curse in which she would always fall for the reincarnation of her loved one in all of her lives and be struck with overwhelming grief and heartbreak. A curse in which he had given her so that he may be the one to comfort her when need be, a desperate attempt to become needed by her.

However after Nicollos had left her with her heart broken, it was not Phthonos who had come down from Olympus but rather Eris who gave her a gift and said it was the key to her happiness. But unbeknownst to Seraphine, the gift carried a curse. A curse in which her name releases a monster from the depths of Tartarus every time it was muttered. It was a curse that brought her her downfall.

The villagers pillaged and threw fire to burn down her home, along with her in it as they had believed it was the only way to save their village from the monsters that had been appearing in every corner. However, their efforts were all in vain as Peneus had struck down their town with a single wave of water out of anger for killing his most precious daughter.

She was reincarnated into her second life a hundred years later as a daughter of Demeter. Her past memories were no longer with her, and yet her appearance remained unchanged. She was renamed Seraphine as without it, her soul would no longer remember its gift to reborn however, the curse Phthonos and Eris was still lingering within it and thus her new life remained as they had said.

When Demeter found out about the curse, she carried the newborn Seraphine to Zeus and begged him for a way to undo the spell but even he could not find the answer as he had not known who had perpetuated the curse. Thus, Seraphine's second name came to be, a solution the goddess of wisdom gave Demeter in order for mortals to avoid releasing unwanted monsters without being aware.

Seraphine's second life was slightly smoother than her first and she would have been truly happy if not for her meeting the reincarnation of her past lover - Nicollos. Phthonos' curse made it so her heart could not avoid falling in love in vain and thus once again she was swallowed in her own despair when her love was not given back.

Her life continued as is, she was reborn as a daughter of an olympian, she was renamed with her blessed name and was renamed again with a mortal name in order to avoid the worst outcome and yet her heart still clenches with the desire and absolute envy to loved by the man she was cursed to give her heart to over and over.

(Y/n) was only merely her 100th reincarnation.
