The healer came to see Loki in Sigyn's chambers and she tended to his wounds there. Sigyn paced the halls outside her chamber fiddling with the fabric of her night gown. She heard about the massive fight between Frigga and Odin. Baldur told her the Queen was shouting so loud the kitchen staff stopped work. And it wasn't until the palace became quite that dreary silence filled the golden halls. It was gloom and doom; no one dared disturb Frigga or the All-Father in the Hall of Odin. For once, the palace was like a graveyard and news of what happened spread like wildfire.
"How is he?" Thor asked, approaching quickly.
Sigyn turned and she sighed with relief to finally see him. "Oh, Thor." she was embraced into his large warm arms and all worry seemed to go away for that moment before it came crashing down on her head again. "He is alright, the healer is in there with him now. She says she can heal him in time for the wedding, but Thor, he is very fatigued and embarrassed by what happened." she tells him, softly enough so that Loki can't hear them inside.
Thor looks at his betrothed with saddened eyes. "Sigyn, I cannot thank you enough for helping him." he braced her shoulders firmly. The thought of Loki's kiss came into her mind.
"It was the least I could do, Thor." she comforts him. "What they did to him was terrible. What happened with your father?"
"My mother did all the yelling before I could get anything in." he tried to chuckle, but it sounded more like a sigh. "I don't know who's to blame. Loki, King Eitri, my father, or your's?"
"I think everybody is at fault here. I am not happy with my father either, and I will be having words with him. We came here for peace and they let this happen." Her words are hushed. "It's been a long day, Thor, and a very stressful week. Everyone is exhausted. It's best we all get some rest, all of us. Once Loki is feeling better I will have him sent back to his chambers and when he is feeling up to it I'm sure he will let you come see him."
Thor looked over Sigyn's head past the gap in the door where he could see the healer tending to Loki in the room. "My brother was a fool wagering his head like that. I am so happy he is still alive and no thanks to you. How are you feeling, my lady?" he then asked her.
"I am fine, thank you for asking."
"I have to insist on speaking with my brother."
"I cannot stop you?"
Thor smiled shaking his head. "Afraid not." he went to go around her and stopped. "Everybody saw what you did back there."
Sigyn's eyebrows came together worried and the kiss forced its way to the front of her mind. "Saw what?"
"They all know what you can do. Your power." he motioned a large hand at her. "The way you brought the Dwarf King down like he was nothing. It was glorious, they say! I wish I was there to have seen it."
She shrugged. "Is that so bad?"
"They say the way you brought him down with the mere touch of your hand was incredible and now the entire Asgardian council are debating about it. Fear not; there's nothing they can do to you unless they want to suffer my wrath."
"What do they debate about?"
"What power you have, how to use it, train it, all the rest." he inclined a hand. "You took a lot of energy from King Eitri, you must be feeling like ten men."
She exalted a laugh. "It was a rash decision on my behalf, but I did what I had to in the moment. If you want to talk to Loki go in now." she ushered him. Thor smiled at her again and went to say something when he stopped. Thor turned pushing open the door further and he went into the room. Sigyn stood just outside the door.
