I roll my eyes. "So when did I become so special? When they carted me off to the Capitol?"

"No, about six months before that. Right after New Year's. We were in the Hob, eating some slop of Greasy Sae's. And Darius was teasing you about trading a rabbit for one of his kisses. And I realized...I minded."

-Chapter Thirteen-

(Dedicated to elle because she just turned thirteen, hah.)

It doesn't matter what you do in this life. It doesn't matter who your bestfriends were, what band you obsessed over, what you colored your hair to surprise your mate with on Valentine's day. Nothing will matter unless you do something extraordinary; unless you do something worth living for. The weird ones are always remembered as legends or have their fair share in the history timeline you are ordered to put together in school.

The green irises look back at me with boldness, like someone grinded razor leaves and sprinkled them into his eyes, their fingertips moving slowly, letting the leaves fall in a limited area. Pink lips are played out in a hesitant smirk, exposing an indention above his left corner. His body shifted feet, the floured apron forcing his shirt to ride up, revealing a leaf tattoo above his left, pointy hip. The tiring look his body radiated makes my muscles ache.

So, I did the extraordinary.

I stepped away from Zayn, taking careful steps five feet to Harry, and reached out my arms, closing his neck around my exhausted arms as I lift my body up with my toes. I tried reaching his hight, but it was hopeless.

I lied my head against his shoulder, not sure why I'm still like this, and my mind went blank.

Harry leaned down, his face to my ear, and planted a sloppy kiss on my temple that lasted longer than it should have, and I back up immediately, basically pushing him off of me. Harry's teeth clamp down on his cheek, letting out a shakey breath as he tries not to laugh.

The heat of my body flowed in only one way, making a bee-line to my sensitive cheeks. The warmth was uncomfortable as it burned through my skin, my blood turned into a freashly dried sheet carressing the apples of my cheeks.

Harry's eyes burned into his boots, his teeth sank into his lip as he rocked back and forth on his heels. His right hand was supporting his balance on one of the tables he owned in the bakery, while the other was resting on his hip.

Zayn smacked his lips, sucking them inward, then releasing the pressure.

Harry's eyes trailed the lines of the wooden floor, stopping at Zayn's feet. He inhaled sharply, as if someone stabbed him from behind, but he wanted to hide the wound.

"So," I spoke, my lips inhancing the créase of the Word. I pointed, my wrist flicking in Harry's direction, and his green orbs flickered over to my hand. My breathing caught in my throat, causing a swelling sensation to form, and my voice was shakey,''You're Harry." I sighed, the tension became overwhelming as I'm not firmiliar with how to deal with it.

Harry's green eyes left my hand and looked into Zayn's brown ones. They stayed like that, a smirk plastering on Harry's face and Zayn's eyebrows were furrowed together, his eyes piercing through Harry. Harry remained smirking, not leaving his eyes off of Zayn and He mumbled,"Yes, and you, Avery. Tell me, Zayn, why you show up today?"

Harry's eyes shot to me as I pull a chair out to sit in. I smile, my breath shakey once again, looking hesitantly into Zayn's eyes for comfort, but none was there. However, I looked into Harry's, and his lips tipped up, reassuring everything will be fine.

"She wanted to see you,'' Zayn's voice like honey, surprising me. He's trying to hold his anger down.

I understand why.

Harry licked his bottom lip, Rolling it in between his teeth, quickly releasing it as tears prick up at the lid of his eyes, his eyes lightening. His long fingers took notice to his actions, and the tips wiped the tears before they could continue there  journey. Zayn still looked at him with a statue figure, and it frieghtened me.

"Sh-," Harry gasps, remembering the need of air, and he sucks in his nose, tilting his head forward. His quiff fell over his head, and he laughs, wiping another tear away. "She remembers me?" He looks at me with hopeful eyes, and I smile, trying the least bit to comfort him. His arms open, his feet walking quickly towards me. I didn't know how to react as Harry's lips made contact to my cheek, and his hand carressed my hair. he leaned down, his chin resting on my shouder, and whispered,"I-"

"She can't remember, Harry," Zayn jerked him off of me with much force, and pain consumed Harry's eyes and tears started forming again.

"But, Zayn. She has to," he says, his voice cracking,"She just has to."

"Well, she doesn't," Zayn mentioned again, coldly, as I saw a ledgend i won't ever Érase from my mind.

As we left, Zayn pulling me behind him with gentel gestures, I looked back to Harry, his head down, shoulders shaking constantly. My heart winced as he fingered his hair, and Let out a sob.

But I didn't do anything. It didn't matter.

I guess I'm not a beautiful creature.

~~~
I sat my cup of tea down next to my sandwich. Zayn had Let me home after we left Harry's Bakery.
I was flipping through my old Journal after my last entry, and found a poem.
January 13th, 2007
Dashing green eyes,
a hesitant smile.
His eyes piercing mine,
making want to stay a while.
I do not fancy him,
as most people think.
He is my best friend
making my heart warm with every wink.
I want to fancy him,
oh. how i do,
he is so sweet and charming
and he would fancy me too.
He would BE so gentle,
so kind, so fair.
and he tells me all the time,
but at times, I don't care.
Harry.
I love you mom and Dad. Stay lost in the Stars,
Avery.x
