I'm such a idiot for leading Maddison on like that. I like her and all, but there's just something about Maddie. Yeah, Maddie's the one for me. I gotta call her.
"Hello"? I hear a beautiful voice
"Hey Maddie". I say
"Oh, hey Nash". She says
"So, what are you doing"? I ask her
"Just reading some magazines". She says
My palms start to sweat, and I think Maddie can tell that I'm nervous.
"Nash, what's wrong". She ask
"Maddie...will you go out....with me"? I ask
She's silent for a minute.
"Yeah". She says and I can tell she's grinning
I smile.
"Nash, I'll call you later. I gotta go eat dinner". She says
"Okay". I say
"Okay". She says
"Okay". I say again
"Oh my god stop flirting with me". She says laughing
I get a little offended.
"It's from the fault in our stars". She laughs
"Oh, I haven't watched it yet". I laugh in relief
"Alright, well I'm gonna go this time". She says
"Bye". I say
"Bye".
Maddison's P.O.V
Ring, ring, ring.
I check my phone to see who's calling me.
It's Maddie. Oh goodie.
"Hello". I say
"Ohmagodohmagodohmagod, you'll never guess what just happened". She squeals into the phone
"What happened". I ask
"Nash just asked me out"!!! She says a little to excited
"Awesome"! I say trying to be excited for her
"I know right"?!? She squeals again
"Listen Maddie I call you in a little while".
"Okay". She says STILL fangirling
I hang up and decide to text Emilee.
To Emilee: where are you?
She replys almost instantly
From Emilee: home..why?
To Emilee: can you come pick me up? I'm at the park.
From Emilee: sure little sis. Are you okay?
To Emilee: I'm fine, just come pick me up please.
From Emilee: okay, be there in 5
I close my phone and sit down on the swings.
"Excuse me miss, aren't you a little old to be swinging". I hear a innocent little voice say from behind me
I turn around and the cutest little girl with big blonde curls was standing behind me.
"Your never to old to swing". I say smiling
She sits down on the swing beside me and starts kicking her feet.
"Here let me help you". I say pushing her back and forth
"Weeeeeeee". She screams
I stop her and sit back down on the swing beside her.
"So what's your name cutie"? I ask
"Melody". She says looking down
"You don't have to be shy". I say lifting her chin up
She smiles at me.
"What's yours"? She ask
"Maddison". I smile
"That's pretty". She says
"Thank you". I smile
*Honk*
I look over to see my sister in the parking lot.
"I gotta go". I say
"Will I see you again"? She ask
"Maybe". I say waving bye
I jump in the car and my phone dings.
From jacob: Hey beautiful☺️
To jacob: Hey handsome😏
"So how was your day"? Emilee ask pulling out
"Okay". I say lying
If there's one thing I don't do, it's talk about my personal life with my family.
"What were you doing at the park by yourself"? She ask a little curious
"Just getting some fresh air". I say trying to dodge this conversation
"I haven't seen you and hayes together in a while". She says
"We broke up". I say
"What? Why?". She ask concerned
"I really don't wanna talk about it". I say
"Okay, okay. But your gonna have to talk about it sooner or later"? She says
"No I don't". I say plugging in my headphones
I'm gonna try to drown the world out with music.
It almost works until my phone dings.
From jacob: wanna go out to eat?
To jacob: sure! How about tomorrow at 1?
From jacob: okay, I'll meet you at Starbucks at 1 then
To jacob; see you then😉
From jacob: 😉
I hope tomorrow is a much better day.
