Chapter 16

Maddison's P.O.V

I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. It's 12:00, I need to start getting ready for my date with Jacob today.

I jump up and run to my closet. I end up picking out a white crop top with red flowers all over it and my red high waisted shorts. I folded them and laid them on my bed. I walked to the shower and undressed, when I stepped in, the water felt like heaven. After about 20 mins I hopped out and put my clothes on. I walked over to my mirror to fix my hair. I decide to leave it alone cause it's wavy. I grab my hippie flower headband and wrap it around my head. I do some light makeup an step back to look in the mirror. I smile and grab my phone and run downstairs.

"Bye mom". I scream so she can hear me

She walks into the living room.

"Where do you think your going"? She ask with her hand on her hip

"On a date". I say

"With who"?

"Jacob".

"Where to"?

"Mom I'm not playing 20 questions with you. But I'm going to Starbucks and I need some money". I say

"Here". She says digging in her purse and handing me a 50$

"Make sure to keep your phone turned on at all times missy", she says raising her eyebrows

"Whatever". I say and walk out the door

To Jacob: I'm on my way

From Jacob: I'm already here babe

To Jacob: okay, I'll be there in 5

From Jacob: k😘

To Jacob: 😘

*Starbucks*

I walk through the door of star bucks and start looking for Jacob. I spot him in the corner booth with his back turned to me.

I walk up behind him and put my hands over his eyes

"Guess who"? I laugh

"Uhm I don't know. Maybe Maddison"? He shrugs his shoulders

"Ding ding ding". I say

We laugh and I sit down in front of him.

Jacob waves the waitress over to get out orders.

"I'll have a chocolate caramel frappe swirl". I say

"And I'll have the peppermint frappe". Jacob says smiling

"Okay, I'll be back in a minute with your order". The lady says smiling

"So, did you miss me"? Jacob says raising his eyebrows

"Oh yes, I sat in my room crying non stop". I say smiling

"Me too". He laughs

"You know I was being sarcastic". I ask

"Uhm, yeah. Uh so was I". He says

I laugh.

"Did you really sit in your room and cry over me"? I ask

"No, I was trying to be funny". He says

"Oh". I laugh

"Your so cute". He says

"Right back at you". I say

The waitress brings us our drinks.

"Oh my god". Jacob says eye balling my drink

"What"? I laugh

"Yours looks so good". He says

"Do you wanna drink"? I ask laughing

"Heck yeah"! He says grabbing my straw and taking a drink

"Was MY drink good"? I ask

"It sure was". He laughs

"So after this do you wanna go to my recording studio"? He ask

"Yeah, sure". I say sipping my drink

He smiles and sips his drink.

*recording studio*

"This is my baby". Jacob says holding up a guitar

"She's a beauty". I say

"You sure are". Jacob says looking at me

I blush

"I mean, she sure is". He smiles

"Here how about I just sing you a song". He laughs

"Sure". I say sitting down in the big black chair

He walks into the recording studio, grabs his guitar, and sits down on a wooden chair.

He tunes his guitar and puts a big headset on.

He starts singing.

"I figured it out, I figured it out from black and white. Seconds and hours, maybe they had to take some time". He sings

Jacob whitesides is sitting in front of me singing you and I. I never thought that this would happen to me.

"You and I, we don't want to be like them we can make it till the end. Nothing can come between you and I, not even the gods above, could separate the two of us, nothing could come between you and I". Jacob sings looking me right in the eyes

This is the boy for me.
