jimin shut off his phone, laughing airily at the banter between his friends. he carefully set the phone on the desk next to him and pushed himself off of his creaky bed.
after having slept for the entire day, he stiffly walked over to the window in his small apartment, cranking it open with a small amount of force.
a warm breeze swept through the crack in the window, the sound of laughter and music floating up from the park nearby. the late saturday morning seemed almost perfect.
jimin leaned his arms on the windowsill, staring outside at the cloudless, blue sky. behind him, he could hear hobi fumbling around in the kitchen, attempting to make breakfast.
of course, the seemingly perfect day immediately got interrupted. jimin suddenly whirled around, his heart leaping as hobi let out a scream; the fire alarm blared loudly as the older boy leapt out of the tiny kitchen, a smoking pot in his hand.
jimin let out an exasperated sigh, resting his hand on his chest. opening the window wider to let the smoke out, he plugged his nose to keep out the stench of smoke.
this happened far too much.
he swiftly plucked the pot out of his roommate's hand, peeking inside to look at whatever his roommate had attempted to cook.
"why the hell did you try to cook cereal?!" jimin snorted as he gawked at the burnt remains of fruit loops which rested at the bottom of the pot, smothering slightly.
"you know i don't cook," hoseok attempted to defend himself as he wildly flapped a rag, screeching like an eagle, to get rid of any remaining stench. "but i didn't want to wake you up."
