jimin wiped his brow as he delivered yet another cup of coffee to an avid starbucks enthusiast. he wiped down the small mess which he had made by spilling the coffee with a small, wet rag. it was his first day back at his job as a barista, but he was obviously out of practice. the bell hung on the door dinged as a new customer walked in. jimin looked up to inspect the new face.

jimin suppressed an eye roll. obviously, it was none other than jiyeon. but what didn't fail to surprise him was the fact that she was holding hands with a girl. the two obviously seemed close; jiyeon even gave the girl a peck on the cheek. jiyeon looked up and looked equally as surprised to see jimin. after excusing herself for a second, jimin's sister ran up to him. jimin figured there was no escape now.

"uh, hey," jimin uttered out, unsure of what else to say. he was so happy with his new life that he pretty much lacked the ability to feel negative emotions towards his sister.

"hi! you have no idea how happy i am to see you," jiyeon murmured and gave jimin a hug against his will. "i heard what happened. i'm so freaking sorry. when i heard that you were," she trailed off with a bite of her lip. her eyes glistened a little. "anyhow, now that we're finally out of parents wraths, i really do owe you an apology."

jimin sighed and continued to rub the counter. "no shit, sherlock. i guess i can't really run away now, so what do you have to say?"

"like always," she began. "i'm really sorry. i really am. i was given no choice. my parents threatened to beat me up and kick me out, too, if i didn't follow their orders. they forced me to stay quiet and help them. if i knew how things were going to end up, i would of never left you alone. oh my god, i'm so sorry. please forgive me."

jimin couldn't help but feel bad for her sister. jiyeon began to tear up as jimin enveloped her in a tight hug. "everything's okay now, okay? i forgive you," he murmured and let go to wipe away a tear from her face.

jiyeon nodded. "thank you," she whispered before her face brightened in a grin. she motioned towards the girl whom she walked in with earlier. "also, i'm gay too, if you didn't notice. surprise. that's my girlfriend over there. her name is eunha."

jimin's eyes wandered to the pretty girl who was sitting by herself, staring at the window. "she looks a little lonely," he chuckled. "you should probably get back to her."

"yeah," jiyeon laughed. "but first, i'll order two espressos."

jimin nodded, heading over to the coffee machine to brew their order. as soon as it was done, he grabbed a napkin along with a complimentary cookie. he handed his sister the hot coffees along with the chocolate chip cookie. "uh, i'm not sure if i'm allowed to do this, but here's a cookie on the house." his voice dropped to a whisper. "don't tell anyone."

jiyeon giggled quietly and took the treats. "thank you," she whispered jokingly and headed over to eunha, who immediately brightened at the sight of her girlfriend.

just as jimin finished taking the next order from an old couple, the door suddenly burst open. in walked taehyung, all high and mighty. jimin couldn't help but laugh at the sight.

"how's my favorite customer doing?" jimin asked as he leaned forwards, propping his elbows on the desk. "aren't you supposed to be in class?"

"i skipped, duh. i'm doing just great now that i'm with you." taehyung smirked and drew closer to jimin. "how's my favorite barista?"

"i'm doing well," jimin responded, inching his face towards taehyung's. "i guess my sister and i are on good terms now. anyhow, what would you like?"

"that's great! one kiss and a chai latte," taehyung responded with a smile. "also, what time does your shift end?"

jimin glanced at the clock positioned on the wall behind him. "in like," he trailed off, narrowing his eyes. "five minutes or so. why?"

"oh, guess i came at the right time then," the taller boy said. "i was wondering if you wanna go to the bar with me today."

jimin gulped; a small yet visible tear of sweat rolled down his forehead. "i've never been to a club," he confessed. "isn't like everyone drunk there?"

taehyung rolled his eyes good-heartedly. "i mean, yeah," he responded. "but it's fun. just try it!"

"fine," jimin sighed. "i'll try it. alright, i'll go make you your chai latte now."

"don't forget the kiss," taehyung teased and pressed a kiss against jimin's lips.

jimin smiled against the kiss before pulling away. "my manager will kill me if he sees me kissing with one of the customers," he joked before turning around and heading towards the coffee machine to brew up a coffee for his boyfriend.

as soon as he handed taehyung his chai latte, the manager popped out from the back to inform him that jimin's shift was over. jimin removed his work uniform in the bathroom of the cafe and dressed out, ready to go on a date with taehyung.

taehyung stood up from his table and walked over, intertwining their hands. "the bar isn't far," he said as he swung their interlocked hands.

they walked out of the cafe. jimin waved at jiyeon, who was equally surprised to see that jimin had a boyfriend.

"is that your sister?" taehyung asked as he glanced at the two girls sitting in the corner, by the window.

"yep," jimin responded with a grin. "and her girlfriend. isn't she adorable?"

taehyung tightened his grip on jimin's hand. "your sister or her girlfriend?" he asked, his teeth gritted. his voice was obviously laced with a hint of jealousy.

"my sister, duh," he giggled and pecked taehyung's cheek. "i'm gay, you blockhead."

taehyung rolled his eyes. "just checking," he murmured, but he couldn't help but smile. "it's ironic that homophobic parents got two gay children."

"yeah," jimin agreed as they headed out onto the busy street. it was getting a little darker outside; it was wednesday, so the streets were a little more crowded than usual as everyone headed home from work. "you've never told me about your parents. what are they like?"

"oh, right." taehyung's gaze brightened. "i have two moms. they influenced my gayness. i should totally introduce them to you some day; they'd love you!"

jimin raised his eyebrows. "really? you're so lucky."

taehyung nodded in agreement. soon after, they arrived to a small, lit-up club on the corner of the street. a bouncer stood outside; taehyung dished out some money to him and they were let in. inside, there was the obvious smell of strong alcohol. it was even more crowded in the club. music boomed over huge speakers as everyone danced or drank.

jimin's eyes widened at the sight as bright lights shone in his eyes. "wow," he breathed out, barely audible over the blasting songs. "this is strange."

" let's dance," taehyung exclaimed and grabbed jimin's arms, yanking him forwards in excitement.

it seemed like this night would last for a while.
