time flew, as usual. before anyone knew it, graduation rolled around, and adulthood came knocking. the boys' bonds were stronger than ever; they decided that they had all been through so much shit together, so everyone decided to stay together, even after college. coincidentally, there were a series of vacant houses positioned right by a beach; fortunately, they didn't cost a lot. obviously, each couple moved into a separate house. even jungkook moved in; he had found himself a boyfriend named mark during the last year of college. everyone was really happy with their lives. namjoon and seokjin had even gotten married the year after graduation, and had decided to adopt two three-year-old twins who were the sweetest girls jimin had ever met.
yoongi and hoseok made the most money. yoongi fulfilled his education and became a science teacher at one of the most famous schools in the city, and as a side-job, he wrote music for many famous artists. hoseok became a dance teacher, which had always been his dream. namjoon finally released his mixtape with seokjin's full support. seokjin had become a full-fledged model for calvin klein and often partnered with jungkook.
taehyung and jimin had decided to debut as a duet. they weren't worldwide known quite yet; they mostly performed at weddings or restaurants. they received only a modest amount of money, but they were still extremely content with their lives and with eachother.
fortunately, jimin's parents remained in jail. jiyeon and jimin continued to grow closer over the years; jimin became an uncle when jiyeon adopted an adorable little boy with her wife.
jimin sat down on the beige couch as he casually scrolled through a meme account while scratching yeontan's head.
"hey," taehyung called from the kitchen. "do you wanna go on a date? like, right now? i'm really bored."
jimin looked up from his phone; it was almost past midnight. "where to? isn't it kind of late?"
"it's a surprise." taehyung smirked as he appeared from the kitchen, eating from a bag of trail mix. "please?"
jimin laughed. "fine, as long as we get home before three in the morning. i promised to meet up with my sister tomorrow."
taehyung threw the empty container of trail mix into the trash can. "hold on," he said as he disappeared into their bedroom. he came out with a black blindfold and wrapped it around jimin's eyes tightly.
"seriously? a blindfold?" jimin laughed as taehyung pulled him up from the couch.
taehyung pressed his lips against jimin's in a quick yet passionate kiss, cupping the shorter boy's cheek. jimin felt as though he was melting in his grip.
taehyung then led jimin out of their house and into the car. "i told you it's a surprise." he smiled and shut the door behind jimin.
taehyung revved up the engine and pulled out of the driveway. he connected his phone to the car and began to play a song which jimin recognized as the song which taehyung had sang all those years ago when jimin had been afraid of a thunderstorm.
"remember this?" taehyung said as he grabbed jimin's hand and rubbed small circles on the back of his hand with his thumb, one hand still on the steering wheel.
"of course," jimin murmured, his head bobbing to the beat of the music. "how could i forget?"
the drive only took a couple of minutes. the couple exited the car; jimin was still blindfolded, but taehyung made sure that jimin didn't hurt himself. they walked for a bit until taehyung suddenly stopped him.
"wait right here and count until thirty, okay? then you can remove your blindfold," taehyung said.
"ok," jimin murmured in response as taehyung turned around and ran off, footsteps thudding behind him.
