jimin and taehyung sat on the wooden bench positioned in the middle of the boardwalk, large clouds of cotton candy in their hands. jimin finished off his sugary treat and licked his hands clean before tossing the stick into a nearby garbage can.

"what do you wanna do next?" taehyung asked as he leaned back on the bench, placing his hands behind his head and closing his eyes.

the other boys from the group had decided to go on a tour in the city, but taehyung and jimin had decided to spend their time in an amusement park.

jimin let his eyes trail across the tens of hundreds of amusement rides dotting the large boardwalk. his gaze landed on a small booth, not too far away. a small line trailed out. "wanna try out the fortune teller?"

taehyung shrugged, not all too keen on the idea. "you actually believe in that stuff?"

"not really," jimin responded, biting his lip. "but hey, we have a bunch of tickets to spend. we could give it a shot."

"okay. whatever you say." taehyung smiled and interlocked his fingers with jimin, swinging his arm as they walked towards the line.

after a couple of minutes of waiting and playing candy crush on their phones, the two entered the royal purple tent. it was extremely dark inside; an older women, wearing a black hood over her head, sat behind a mahogany table. a wide, glass ball was positioned by her hands. a mysterious aura shrouded her.

a little afraid of the creepy lady, jimin hesitantly handed her two tickets as he and taehyung sat down in front of the fortune teller, hand in hand.

"you two are a couple, are you not?" the woman asked, staring ominously at the ball in front of her.

jimin nodded quickly, wondering how the lady knew. he glanced at the glass ball. it just looked like a normal glass ball; he didn't understand what secrets it held.

"beware of the man who claims to be a best friend," the woman murmured, lightly touching the ball with her wrinkled fingers.

"uh, okay." taehyung replied. the fortune teller kept talking.

"there is a saying that 'blood is thicker than water'," she continued, her icy blue eyes peering into the ball. "remember that syrup is thicker than blood. that's all i have to tell you."

frowning in bewilderment, jimin thanked the woman and headed outside with taehyung.

"that was really weird," the shorter boy commented.

"what the fuck?" taehyung laughed, his face contorted in confusion. "syrup is thicker than blood? what's that supposed to mean?"

jimin shrugged, attempting to wrap his mind around the ominous words.

"whatever." taehyung shrugged. "what do you wanna do next?"

"ooh, can we go on the ferris wheel?" jimin asked, his eyes sparking up at the thought.

"sure," taehyung nodded and stood up, taking jimin's hand in his own.

fortunately, the amusement park was not extremely popular, so the lines for the attraction rides were rather short. in no time, the couple was sitting in the large, neon ferris wheel.

jimin peered outside, his eyes wide as the ferris wheel began to spin. the ground began to get farther and farther away from them; he put his hand above his eyes as the bright sun shone directly into his eyes, blinding him. the view was breathtaking as they rose higher and higher, spiraling away from earth. people looked like ants as they grew smaller and smaller. the vast, blue ocean seemed to stretch on forever.

"you know," taehyung spoke up as they spun, earnestly taking jimin's hands in his own. "there's a myth where if you kiss someone at the top of a ferris wheel, you'll be with them forever."

"you're so cheesy. forever is a long time," jimin joked, swinging their arms. "but spending it with you wouldn't be so bad."

"oh, i'm the one who's cheesy?" taehyung laughed and pulled jimin closer to him until he was sitting on taehyung's lap, straddling him.

"as cheesy as four-cheese pizza," jimin responded softly and wrapped his legs around taehyung's waist. he pressed his forehead to taehyung's.

"that's a lot of cheese," taehyung murmured, their lips an inch away from touching. "i'm craving pizza now."

"way to ruin the mood," jimin giggled and pressed their lips together in a soft, passionate kiss. taehyung smiled against the kiss and wrapped his arms around jimin's back, drawing him even closer.

taehyung's tinted lips still had the faint taste of cotton candy. the taller boy cupped jimin's cheek as jimin's arms snaked around his lover's neck. what seemed like a thousand years later, they pulled away from each other for air, their cheeks dusted with a light pink hue.

"you taste like cotton candy," jimin murmured, staring directly into taehyung's eyes as his arms remained wrapped around his neck.

"i wonder why," taehyung chuckled, his lips still faintly blue from the sugary treat.

as the ferris wheel descended back towards the ground, taehyung pressed his lips back onto jimin's in a short, sweet kiss.

"that was amazing," jimin giggled as they mounted off of the ferris wheel. he still felt giddy; the taste of taehyung's lips lingered.

"you say everything is amazing," taehyung countered, his eyes glimmering in amusement.

"that's because everything is amazing when i'm with you."

"you're so cheesy."
