Two children lay on the grass looking up at the stars. One was an eight year old boy with onyx eyes and the other, a seven year old girl with dark brown eyes.
"Sasuke?" the girl said softly.
"What?" the boy answered.
"What are your goals gonna be when you become a ninja?" she asked.
"Hm. Well, I'm going to get revenge on a certain man. Then I'm going to restore my clan," Sasuke answered.
"Oh."
The pair lay in silence for a while staring up at the sky.
"Hanako, can I ask you a question?" Sasuke said after a while.
"Yeah, sure."
"After I get my revenge, will you help me restore my clan?"
Hanako turned to look at him.
"Help you?" she said.
"Yeah. So you'd have to marry me and stuff."
"You're asking me to marry you in the future?"
"Yeah..."
A long silence ensued after that. Hanako thought about marrying Sasuke.
'Well it wouldn't be that bad.' she thought. 'He is kinda cute in a way.'
After a lot of thinking, Hanako finally said, "Okay."
"Huh?" Sasuke said, a little confused.
"Okay. I'll marry you one day and help you restore your clan," Hanako told him.
"Really?"asked Sasuke incredulously.
"Yeah."
"Ok... it's a promise then," he said.
The two of them linked pinkies and continued stargazing.
