I woke up to my phone ringing on my night stand. I pick up the phone seeing mason name. God, please tell him to leave me alone.
"Hello"
"Zoya, get down to the hospital quick! Zion in the hospital!"
Oh shit. What happened? I hop up from my bed going to my closet. I grab my nike shoes and jacket. I don't need to get all dressed up.
I ran downstairs to the kitchen to grab my keys and wallet. I went to the room by my guest bathroom to tell zable that I'm leaving.
"Zable"I shook her. She open one eye looking at me.
"What?"She said in a raspy voice.
"I have to go to the hospital. Something happened to Zion"I said.
"And you want me to watch Zayda"zable said.
"She sleep so you don't have to watch her. Just listen up for up"I said walking out her room. I walk out the house going to my car.
It's 9 o'clock at night and I'm tired. What the hell Zion did?

I ran to the emergency room seeing mason, Zion sister, and some lady. They all look at me then turn their heads.
"What the hell happened?"I ask mason.
"He was found with three stab wounds by his mother in law"mason said.
"Who did it?"I ask.
"She believe it was her daughter Gabbi. We tried on calling Gabbi but she didn't answer"mason sat down then patted the seat next to him.
"No I'm good"I said.
"You serious. I mean, I really want you to sit next to me"he smiled.
"Mason. It's really nice that you want me to come sit next to you but I'm good"I said.
"Zoya, do you like me as a friend?"mason ask.
"Yeah, and nothing more"I said.
"Good then if your my friend, just sit next to me"he said.
"Family of Zion Martin"the doctor called out. We all look at him. Zion sister Venus stood up looking at the doctor.
"I'm his sister"She said.
"Zion is out of surgery. He in good condition but uh, who ever stab him didn't stab deep enough. Probably wanted him to bleed out and die slowly"the doctor said.
"Thank you doctor. Can I see him?"Venus ask.
"Yeah sure"the doctor said.
"Y'all can go, ima see him in the morning with zayda"I said.
"I dont think the baby should see him like that"mason said.
"I-I......."
"Just go home and take care Zayda. You can come back tomorrow to check on him"mason said then patted my back walking off.
I sigh heavily thinking about Zion. Is gone be okay? Who ever stab him probably wanted him dead. I think it was Gabbi who did it. At least she had the guts to attack back.
