The previous chapter gave me odd Wanda and Vision vibes.
Y/N
A month has gone since Loki and you escaped from The Avengers. Loki taught you how to fight. Well basic fighting skills at least. With each day, your power grew stronger and Loki said that with such power, fighting would be useless as I could just easily blast someone into their next life.
It was around 12.05am. Loki and I were walking around outside of the forest. We were talking about the weirdest things but you did not mind. You could listen to Loki talk forever. "I have a theory that your power will keep growing until you reach the strongest magnetic field that a star ever produced," Loki said, looking at you. You nodded. "It's a possibility," you mumbled. "Something is on your mind, sweetheart," You smile faintly, " am I that obvious?" Loki chuckled then shook his head. "No, it isn't. I've just observed you long enough to know." You laugh slightly, "you're still creepy."
You knew you better start explaining before Loki asks you to. "I've just been thinking about you lately and while you know a lot about me, I know so little of you," you explained, looking at your shoes as you walked. "You actually know a fair bit of me. You were an Avenger, remember? You had to know about me beca..." Loki tailed off when he realised what he was saying. "I think it's time you learn about me."
You both halt in your tracks and you turn your body to face him. "You were the first Avenger I laid my eyes on. When Clint was under my control, he said that kidnapping you would be a good idea since you were the most powerful but yet the most naive," You scrunched your nose. "Geez, thanks Clint." Over the month, Loki had also introduced you to the rest of the Avengers.
"So," Loki continued. "I was supposed to capture you but war drew in quicker than I expected. The first time I saw you face to face was when I was thrown inside a building. The ceiling started to break apart and would fall on me but you stopped it. You said, and I quote, 'They're going to kill me for helping you but I can't help it.' After that, you even helped me to get out of the building. Before you left to help the others, you told me that you would not hurt me."
"I'm that nice?" You laughed. Loki smiled. "You were the first person who acted kindly towards me, which is why I took very special interest in you. If I were to be honest, I hoped that I would face you again but I never saw you until.."
"Until nearing the end of the battle. You were helping Natasha. I was glad to see you because I knew no harm would come my way when I was with you. I had attacked Natasha. You did nothing to help Natasha. Being the Lord of Mischief, I said 'I think your friend over there needs to learn that kindness does not result in kindness being given back to them' that's when I began to throw you in every direction, making sure you bled from everything you were to collide with."
Silence. Loki stared into your eyes, searching for any form of hatred. Was he expecting you to start yelling at him? Hate him? When he got no reaction from you, he spoke the final part of his story.
"The war ended and you were the one who had the most injuries and thus your memory loss and I've already told you this part. A year later I reappeared in your life and that, is how we met a month ago. I did something in Asgard to anger Thor and I fled Asgard into Midgard."
Silence once again. You wrap your arms around Loki, engulfing him in a hug to which, he returned. "Do you hate me?" He mumbled to you. "No I don't. I can never."
Then you remembered.
You had said those exact words before.
Flashback
"Why? There's no reason to hate him." You said. Tony gave you a look of disbelief. "Am I hearing this correctly? He is going to destroy New York and there's no reason to hate him?" Tony argued, raising his voice. "Maybe if Thor had actually cared for his brother, he would kept an eye for him! Made sure they both shared the spotlight!" You raised your voice as well, slamming your fist on the table. "Then he wouldn't have gone down this path." Natasha shook her head putting her hand on your shoulder. "Don't mix feelings with work."
"But you guys are the one who is asking me to hate him! " You yelled, pushing past Natasha. "Lady Y/N, are you saying that you don't hate my brother?"
"No I don't. I could never."
End
You pushed yourself away from Loki, gazing at his face lovingly. "Thank you, for not hating me. For showing concern to me." He took your hand and placed it on his cheek, putting his hand over yours. You used your other hand to cup his other cheek than locked your lips with his. You closed your eyes once he did. "Loki, I lo-"
"Sorry to ruin the moment but," the voice paused and wind blew past Loki and you. You opened your eyes and turned behind you and saw an arrow. "I think we have some unfinished business." You and Loki pulled apart. Loki turned to face Clint. "Hey, Clint," You nod at Clint. "Y/N." Tony flies above Clint and from behind you and Loki, Steve and Natasha were ready for combat. "Remember my promise," Loki told you. "Loki, now is not the time to recite your wedding vows," you started as you waited for a dramatic entrance from Thor.
Loki changed to his armour. "I'll protect you, no matter what."
Loki placed his hands on your shoulder and a green glow surrounded you.
