"Atlanta assassination squad, how may we be of service?" Enzo answered his phone as we sat in a small diner.

"I take it you haven't located the doppelganger yet?" I heard Sloan question from the other end of the phone.

Enzo shook his head as he sighed. "You told us to find a nameless paramedic at the scene of a car accident in a city full of freeways, fried green tomatoes and terrible drivers. It's not exactly as easy as it sounds."

"Which is why I am calling." Sloan told him, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "The doppelgangers name is Tom Avery, and I just saw him deliver a patient to Atlanta Metro Hospital."

"She saw him? She did the vision thing again?" I questioned, grabbing the phone from Enzo.

"We had a deal." I reminded Sloan. "I find my brother's doppelganger-"

"Tom." Sloan interrupted.

I sighed in frustration. "Tom. I take care of Tom, and in return, you stop using Stefan to psychically doppelbomb him because every time you link the two, you are frying Stefan's brain."

"I don't give a damn about his brain." Sloan argued. "It's his blood that matters, and until you, Stefan and Elena are the last three doppelgangers on earth, your blood is useless to me. So you better believe that I will give Stefan a back-alley lobotomy if you fail to kill Tom Avery."

"Well, I don't fail at things, so do it again, and I'll kill you." I told her before ending the call and throwing Enzo's phone across the table.

"So the receptionist doesn't know Tom, personally. But I compelled her to call someone who does." I told Enzo as I sat next to him in the large hospital.

"Okay, I give up. I can't tell if you're avoiding the mission or me." Enzo admitted.

"What?" I asked, frowning.

"Ever since last night, you've barely spoken a word." He told me.

"I'm sorry but in a few hours I will have killed an innocent man, who just happens to look exactly like my brother." I narrowed my eyes before continuing. "Now I am stuck in a hospital, where all I can smell is blood and it's taking all the strength I have to not rip open ever single person's throat right now. So please forgive me if I seem a little off today."

Enzo grabbed my hand, softly. "Sorry."

I nodded. "Why are you here? I mean you don't exactly like Stefan and he would really love to see you d-"

"I'm here for you." He told me, with a confused look almost as if I should have known. "Did I ever tell you that you remind me of someone? She worked for Augustine."

"So, I remind you of someone who tortured you?" I questioned with a frown.

"No, no. Maggie was only there to observe my behaviour in captivity. I quite liked her actually." He smiled at the memories of her.

"Did you like her like you like me?" I asked, hoping for the answer to be no.

"Not at all. I love you, no one could compare." Enzo laughed slightly, and I smiled at his words.

"You guys were looking for Tom Avery?" A doctor asked, walking over to Enzo and I.

"Yes. We need to see him as soon as possible." I said as we stood up.

"I wish I could help." The doctor told us sincerely. "Tom Avery was a pain in my ass but he was also the best paramedic I ever met."

"What do you mean 'was'?" Enzo questioned as I frowned.
