ELLIE'S POV

I opened my eyes as the shaking stopped, I looked around to see I was still stood in between Bonnie and Damon, in the woods.

"What the hell?" I questioned, looking to Bonnie and Damon.

"Where are we?" Bonnie also questioned stepping forward, before taking off.

"Well I feel a fang." My brother announced as we began making our way down the streets of Mystic Falls.

"Me too." I replied poking around my teeth. "So we're still vampires, either we are dead vampires or Mystic Falls is no longer magic-free."

"Look." Bonnie says, pointing over to what appears to be the Mystic Grill.

"I definitely blew that up about an hour ago." Damon tells us as we begin looking around in confusion.

"Why don't we see any people?" Bonnie questioned, turning to face us. "If we're still on the other side we should at least be able to see the living."

"Where the hell are we? And I don't mean geographically." Damon demands to know, raising his eyebrow.

"I have no idea."

"There's something weird about these cars." Bonnie spoke up from behind me as she walked alongside Damon.

"Yeah, they're all super old but they look brand new." I replied, placing my hand on one of the cars.

"And that is Elena's not so burnt-to-a-crisp house." Damon said, pushing past me towards a big white house. He then slowly walked over to the front yard, picking up a newspaper as Bonnie and I followed closely behind.

"What?" I questioned as he turned around with wide eyes.

"Look." He ordered, holding the news paper towards us.

Bonnie looked at it closely, squinting her eyes to see the small writing. "Rare solar eclipse expected to be seen across twelve states..." She read out, a confused tone to her voice.

"The date." Damon corrected her.

I walked forward grabbing the newspaper. "May 10th, 1994." I slowly read out in disbelief as I showed Bonnie.

Just then our surroundings began to darken, we looked to the sky to see the eclipse.

"I don't think we should be asking where we are, we should be asking when we are."

"Alright, enough chit-chat. Bonnie, how did we get here? Talk us through it." I spoke up walking onto Elena's old porch.

Bonnie sighed as she leaned back to look at me as I sat next to Damon on the porch swing. "Before the other side collapsed, my grams said she made a sacrifice so that I could find peace."

"Yeah well, how about the part where you actually have a theory." Damon fired, seeming very irritated by our current situation.

"Well this clearly isn't peace otherwise I wouldn't be stuck here with two Salvatore's." Bonnie glared.
