dedication goes to HikaryMyrfor, again thanks for supporting (back in April hehehehe). <33333 how's things been for you? good? that's wonderful. bad? awwwwh cheer up, smile cause all smiles are beautiful.

You were laying on the floor groaning after Annie had used her footing technique her father taught her on you for hand-to-hand combat. Annie was no lie spectacular at this type of combat, and you were before her only slightly. Her footing technique always gets you off though when you're distracted, and when she did it to you this time you were distracted and paid attention to her fists more and avoiding them.

It was about the ninth time this week your instructor, Keith, requested for the two of you to go against each other. He noticed your battles, and still suggests. You had a good feeling that Keith held a grudge against you for this month.

You and Annie weren't technically friends, but more as comrades. You two admire each other for your physical strengths and abilities, and hope to achieve them in higher ways. Basically, you guys had a lot of friendly competition going on, yet you enjoyed it. Even though you were content with your relationship with her, you wanted Annie to see you as a friend instead of a comrade. Keith informed all the trainee's that lunch came, so one by one each trainee finished up their practice and headed out to the mess hall.

"Annie, that was really good!" you complimented her smiling. You hadn't realized you were still on the ground as Annie chuckled helping you get up.

"As always." she confidently replied walking past me to go to lunch. I reached out to tug for her sleeve, and she turned around.

"Yes?" she asked, waiting for my response.

"Can I go to lunch with you?" you ask Annie. Annie's facial expression looked amused. She didn't reply, and as you were beginning to worry if she would decline, she tugged your arm towards herself. It made you stumble and soon you were at her side, casually walking to the mess hall together.

"Can you teach me that trick next time?" you ask Annie another question. You looked at her, eyes beaming with hope and Annie shrugged.

"Depends on my mood." Annie replied.

"You're a cool person."

"Thanks."

"I like your hoodie."

"Thanks."

"Your hair is always put up in that hairstyle, I like it."

"Thanks."

"I also like-"

Annie put a finger to your mouth, signaling you to shut up. Reviewing over what you were telling her, it did sound quite annoying even if they were compliments. You scanned over Annie's face to see she isn't that annoyed, only slightly.

"Sorry." you mumble. Annie nodded to the ground and the two of you entered the mess hall where everyone was. You weren't the social type, you were always awkward with first meets and would always end up quiet in the hour during a conversation with multiple people, muttering a few words. You were quite the introvert, like Annie. That was one thing that two of you shared in common. Annie always liked you being introverted as her, as she was probably the person you spent the most time with than anyone else at the trainee camp. You weren't introverted during practice and battles, you acted as a social butterfly using the maneuver gear, or blades, or hand-to-hand combat. Your outgoing personality would unleash, but the aftermath would be in a loss of words in a conversation in which you go into a compliment frenzy like earlier.

Annie and you walked up to the table to pick up your lunches and found a spot where the two of you can sit together. It wasn't unusual for Annie to be seen with you, but most of the time you would quietly eat lunch to yourself or Armin would try talking to you as he was one of your friends. You sometimes caught Annie looking at you, almost as if she wanted you to come over to her and talk to her, but you never did.
