Necklace [Levi x Reader]

[f/n] and Levi were quietly walking together on the streets of the Stohess District in Wall Sina. The two were in Stohess for no particular reason, having arrived back within the walls from their latest expedition. The people instantly recognized Levi, and some people recognized [f/n]. Men didn't care of [f/n]'s well-being or Levi's either, women were giving [f/n] dirty looks; obviously blind of Levi's true personality, and children stared at the two in awe, hoping someday to enter the military even though they most likely won't. [f/n] and Levi weren't together, they were simply comrades who respect each other for their strength and skills.

[f/n] stared at the ground, embarrassed from the fact that people stared and were assuming that they were a couple of sort. However, [f/n] also couldn't show her face to the crowd because of all the mean looks that were being given to her. Jealous pricks, she thought. Knowing this fact, she still couldn't look up.

"Forget about them [f/n], they're not worth your time." Levi said, moving his steel eyes towards [f/n], with a stoic expression still portraying on his face.

"It's not that easy.." she blushed to herself, hoping that Levi didn't see. He did, and moved his eyes forward.

"Tch.." Levi uttered. Levi stopped in front of a store, with [f/n] not realizing. When [f/n] began straying to far without knowing Levi wasn't beside her, Levi walked and reached out her, cupping his hands to her forearm. [f/n] widened her eyes, feeling more embarrassed as ever.

"The public sure does affect you, [f/n]." Levi commented, as he led the two towards the store he wanted to see. [f/n] went in, taking in all the marvelous things on sale and broke off of Levi's grip and wandered off to look at the items. Levi sighed and decided to follow her, he just wanted to visit the store and walk out.

[f/n]'s [e/c] eyes darted everywhere. Her mouth agape from the food, to the jewelry, to the decorations, to everything! Everything in the store had its affect on [f/n], because everything looked so pretty, you could even say the food was too. Levi finally caught up to her, and then started walking around the store with a familiar expression on his face and browsing at things right after [f/n] did.

When [f/n] went to the jewelry section, that's when her eyes practically popped out. There on a table of fine glass, was the most charming necklace she ever saw. It was especially rare to find minerals, and [f/n] immediately knew this thing would cost so much. Not even five years of her working wouldn't be enough to pay for this.

"Levi! Look, isn't this pretty?" [f/n] carefully picked up the necklace and showed it to him. The necklace shined by the sunlight that showed through the windows, Levi had to admit it was really pretty. Maybe I could buy it for her?, he thought to himself.

No, I can't. It'll show my feelings for her and being a Survey Corps member, I can't have time for love, he reasoned to himself.

"Yeah, I guess." Levi's eyes narrowed at it. The necklace had silver 'lines' as Levi called it, with an eye catching [birthstone] gem as its main asset. Levi could have sworn he heard [f/n] sighing, for it being so beautiful and because of his answer.

"Interested in it hm?" the store owner called out, walking out of a door and towards the two. [f/n] nodded, smiling a little. It made Levi's heart flutter a little.

"It's only 50,000 coins." the owner said, returning back the grin. [f/n]'s eyes seemed to have lost emotion now knowing the price, and sighed once more. She moved behind the man and set the necklace back down on its table. "I can't afford that," she said and came over to stand by me.
