PRETTY LONG CHAPTER THIS TIME AROUND :)

"You just couldn't stick to the script, could you!"
Des was mad. Actually, no, she was livid. The moment Mark unlocked the front door, she was on a war path with a stake ready to spear any poor fool that tried to ask anything of her.
"Mark, what did you do?" I mumbled as Des stomped up the stairs without a backwards glance.
"Why do you assume I did something?" Mark asked as the four of us stared at him, "Okay fine, I may have done something but don't worry...I'll fix it"
With that he went the way Des had gone and left us all standing around the front door.
"Great, now what are we supposed to do?" Nate huffed.
"It's only nine o'clock...on a Friday" London murmured looking down at her watch, "I'm almost positive there are some wild parties JUST about to hit the roof"
"I'm kind of over this night" I sighed despite wanting nothing more than to throw on some lipstick and hit every party this town had to offer.
"So, what, we're supposed to waste this weekend and wait for Monday?"
"Basically" I shrugged climbing up the stairs.

I actually didn't think he'd come. I mean, I didn't think that Evan was a liar but I just didn't think he would ACTUALLY come to pick us up for school.
"Wait, you asked him to come pick you guys up? I thought you loved riding with me?" Mark asked in this super adorable way that actually made me feel bad. I played with my hair, which I had put into a ponytail, and looked away.
"Sorry, pops. I'm sick of listening to Pearl Jam all the time" Stephen shrugged pushing past Evan to the car. Evan stood at the doorway looking confused and offered Mark a slight smile.
"Dad, stop being a kill joy" London harrumphed patting Mark on the shoulder, "It's not like you won't see us at school"
Mark finally nodded in agreement and gave Evan a look, "You better keep my kids safe"
"That's the aim" Evan tried for a joke but Mark just gave him a poorly concealed scowl.
"Don't think I'll hesitate to mark you late...cuz I won't" Mark shoo'ed us off before going back into the house to get his briefcase.
"Hey" Evan gave a small wave.
"Hey" I grinned as we began walking to his car, "you drive a Hummer to school?"
It was a shiny black color and from where I stood, I could tell that the interior was blood red and my eyes bulged. It was so sexy.
"Don't judge me" he shrugged putting his hands into his khaki pockets. I looked at him from the corner of my eye and smiled at his long sleeved black button up that he, true to fashion, didn't button up. Words couldn't describe how hot I found it when guys wore khaki's and button ups; it literally made my world explode, come together, and then explode again.
"I love it when you stare" Evan's voice dipped huskily and I fought to shield my blush.
"I wasn't staring at you..."
"No need to lie" He shrugged making his way to the drivers side and swinging himself up, "looks like your sister took the front"
I rolled my eyes and, with Nate's help, got into the back.
The car was gorgeous, for one, but it was all kind of ruined by London's poorly shielded attempts at flirting. The only thing that made matters worse was that Evan was clearly not flirting back. He remained polite with his answers but never even looked at her when he spoke, it was kind of sad.
