I slowly started to regain consciousness, I couldnt see anything, I couldn't speak, I couldn't move all I could do was hear Duncan speaking to someone, "She needs help" he said. "Shut up, twin" said the person who I recognised as one of the white faced twins "Your lucky that she is alive, the boss needs her for your sapphires".
After some time, I started to get back more senses, now I could feel a sharp, cold, aching pain in my head. "Duncan?" I breathed. "Isadora, thank goodness". "What happened?" I asked as my vision improved and I realised I was strapped to a wheelchair. "Be quiet" said one of the twins and that's what I did for the reason that we were entering Babs office but as me and Duncan knew, it wasn't her office anymore and as we went in, I caught a blurry glimpse of Olaf.
"Sit down" he said telling Duncan to wheel me over and sit beside Babs who was also tied up, although she was tied up in a swivel chair. Count Olaf chattered to Esmé and the twins as Duncan patted my head with a towel to attempt to clean my head that was still bleeding "Duncan" I breathed "What happened? Where are the Baudelaires?". "I don't know, Olaf and Esmé took her in a differant direction to where we were being dragged then they hit you in the head with something, I think it was a crowbar. After that I just did whatever they said, I thought you were gonna die" said Duncan beginning to tear up.
"Come along orphans" said Esmé Gigi Geniveve Squalor "It's time to be reunited with... erm... that girl" she didn't untie me, she just pushed me and forced Duncan to stand beside me 'or else'. At last, we got to room 922 and discovered Count Olaf standing over Violet, who was strapped to a hospital gurney, and tormenting her. "Get away from her!" Duncan screamed at Olaf. "Oh hello twins" said the repugnant man stepping away from Violet and towards us "I see that our little dreamer has woken up" he took my wheelchair off of Esmé who held Duncan back. Suddenly, his henchperson who was neither a man nor a woman burst into the room "Hello" he said as Olaf and Esmé looked at him in confusion while still mocking me, Duncan and Violet, "What now boss?". "Have the pale two not told you yet, we are giving Violet-" he paused, gave Duncan the wheelchair and ushered his henchman and Esmé out the room so we didn't hear their plan. "Violet" said Duncan. "Im fine go and listen" said Violet, telling Duncan to listen to Olaf's plan. "What happened to you?" I said to Violet. "I don't know" she said "What happened to you?". "All I know is that Duncan saw them hit me in the head with something". Unexpectedly, Olaf came back into the room and pushed Duncan to the ground, he then took the tray of surgical equipment off of Violet's bed. "Well, a fake doctor's work is never done" he said snickering and leaving the room, "Oh one more thing" he said peering back into the room and looking at Duncan "You are lucky that you aren't tied up like the other two Orphans and Babs in the corner there, and well let's just say that your sister is also lucky she only has a small cut on her head next time I might not be as generous" he smiled then excited and locked the door.
"Lucky" said Duncan "you arnt lucky, none of us are lucky, I mean Isadora your head is bleeding, and we are all-".
Fortunately, Duncan realised that Violet had stolen a knife and was trying to cutting herself loose from the bandages that tied her down to the hospital gurney." Oh Violet, let me help" said Duncan shuffling to the bed. "No Duncan ,help Isadora". Duncan started waling towards me "Duncan, don't, just work on getting you and Violet out". "I'm not leaving you" said Duncan continuing to untie me. Violet started to untie Babs as Duncan told us what Count Olaf was saying in the corridor "I couldn't hear very clearly but there was something about an anagram". "An anagram is a word that is created by rearranging the letters of another word" I said as Violet finished with Babs and helped Duncan untie me from the wheelchair. "I'll use my hairpin to unlock the door, everyone must stay quiet though" said Violet. Finally they finished freeing me from the wheelchair but alas nothing is ever that easy and as soon as I stood up I fell to the ground "What's wrong?" Duncan asked. "I don't know, I can feel my legs but I can't move them" I said "leave me here Duncan, you need to get away, you, Violet and Babs need to escape". "We aren't leaving you" Violet stated as Duncan picked me up "Come on" she said, for she had picked the lock.
"What's the quickest way out of here?" Duncan asked Babs. "There is no fast way. First, file the release papers in quadruplicate, and then those have to be authorised" said Babs. "Is there anyway out that doesn't involve paperwork" I asked. "You could die" Babs said, nervously chuckling, "Or you can take a left at the next hall".
Unanticipatedly, we heard someone coming down the corridor, "through here" Violet said. Once we were in a deserted break room, that reminded me of the one that Olaf locked me and Duncan in before we escaped to be caught again that very day, Violet said "If we disguise ourselves as doctors, we can roam around the hospital freely", Duncan placed me down on a chair. "That's what Klaus would do" I said blushing, while Duncan looked at me. "Are you suggesting we pretend to have medical degrees that we don't actually have?" said Babs starting to nervously laugh again. "Babs" I said "please be quiet". She continued laughing. "Please Babs, just put on this hospital coat and be quiet". "Quiet?" she asked "Quiet?, by gum I want to live!".
Suddenly, into the room came Count Olaf, "Well that's a shame, we don't always get what we want".
