Later that evening when Count Olaf and his associates were all completely and utterly wasted, Esme decided she'd had enough of Madame Lulu 'flirting' with Count Olaf and everyone vacated the tent.

"Good night, my Olaf!" shouted Lulu. "My Olaf" said Esmé jealously as she tried to carry her drunk boyfriend to the tent they would be staying in. Once she had delivered the drunkard to their bed, she took me and Duncan to the Freaks Caravan but before we went in she stopped us "Don't talk to anyone, especially not about you know what" she said. "You kidnapping us on multiple occasions, you almost murdering us on multiple occasions, you almost murdering our friends on multiple occasions-" I said back. "I would watch your mouth, twin, you are lucky that you and your brother are even alive right now or at least one of them" Esmé remarked. "Take that back" said Duncan. "Make me" Esmé returned as she took us into the caravan.

"Hello freaks, I am Esmé Gigi Genevieve Squalor and these two twins will be staying in this tent by order of Madame Lulu" said Esmé "don't talk to them, they will stay in this corner until someone comes to get them understand?" . "Understand Ms Squalor" said a man sitting on his bed.

After that, Esmé left and the man got up and came over to us, "Hello twins, it's nice to meet you, I'm Kevin, its okay if you stare we are used to it being in the House of Freaks and all" he said. "We aren't twins" said Duncan. "But there is two of you" said a woman swinging down from a rope to our level. "Our brother Quigley died in a fire"."Oh I'm sorry about that triplets, very sorry, and excuse me if this sound rude but what happened to your head" said Hugo looking at me, or more importantly the bandage on my head that I got while in Heimlich Hospital. "Oh its nothing" I chuckled. "It doesn't look like nothing" said a man at the back of the room. "No seriously it's nothing, Isadora just slipped and fell one day and hurt her head" said Duncan.

The rest of the night, despite what Esmé said, the freaks were kind to us and welcomed us in. There was Kevin who was ambidextrous. Colette who was a contortionist. Hugo who was a hunchback and Beverly, Elliot and Chabo who we had already met. Eventually, we decided it was time to go to sleep "are you sure that you don't want to sleep in one of our beds" said Colette. "We're sure, if Esmé or Count Olaf or any of the henchmen found out, it wouldn't end well" I said "but thanks anyway". "Well if your not going to sleep in the beds, at least take our blankets" said Kevin handing us the blankets.

So we took the blankets and lay down in the corner of the Freaks Caravan.

After a while, I turned around to face Duncan, "why are you still awake?" I asked him. "Probably the same reason as you" he whispered. "Worried about the Baudelaires?". "Yea, we have no idea where that are and if they are safe" he said. "But we know that they are alive and they are not in Count Olaf's clutches, otherwise they would be in here with us" I said. "Well, let's at least try and get to sleep" Duncan replied "Goodnight Isadora". "Night Duncan".
