"What have you done?" I screamed as Count Olaf who was grabbing onto me and Duncans arms pulled us along the hallways of Heimlich Hospital so he could get to 'his office'. "Be quiet" he sneered "I had to do what was necessary". "Necessary!" Duncan screeched "setting fire to a hospital isn't necessary it is downright evil!.

At last, we arrived at the office" Sit down and shut up twins" said Count Olaf pointing at some seats. He said then starting speaking over the intercom, "This is Dr. Mattathias Medical School, with some very important news. A terrible fire has broken out - in the Heimlich Hospital. The fire was set in the Library of Records by the Baudelaire murderers. Please arrest them and bring them to me"."Klaus he-" I tried to shout but Duncan put his hand over my mouth and shook his head as to say "we are already in too much danger" or "the Baudelaires will find us, let's not anger Count Olaf". "Oh, and you might want to evacuate the building.Or move the patients or something.Thank you" Olaf continued.

He turned off the intercom and stared at us for a while until he said "Come along twins". "We aren't twins, our brother Quigley died in a fire" I said as Count Olaf grabbed me and Duncans arms and heaved us out of the burning hospital, past the crowds and into the front of his car, me sitting next to Olaf and Duncan next to me beside the door. Soon after, three of Count Olaf's henchmen got into the back of his long black automobile. While Duncan and I were watching the hospital burn to the ground we remembered the fateful night and that our mansion burnt down leaving us withought our triplet brother Quigley or our parents. It was a calm night, but it ruined our lives forever. It was a quiet night, but it would haunt us forevermore.

After some time Esmé and the henchperson with hooks for hands came running to the car, "We never found the sugar bowl after the librarian told us it was here" Esmé complained. "It's worse than that" said Olaf grimely. "I know, I know and the Baudelaires escaped our clutches again but at least we have the twins". "Well they will probably be the only orphans we will ever get". Esmé looked at him, "we will get the Baudelaires" she assured him. "There may be a survivor of the Baudelaire fire"

"Now get into the car this instant or I'll leave you behind" he said to his henchperson of indeterminate gender who then went and sat in the back with the rest of Olaf's henchmen.

Then we left Heimlich Hospital, with no idea of where the Baudelaires were and no idea of where we would be going.
