Jake: Hi, hows life in California?

Me: It sucks without you Jake.

Jake: I know it sucks not being together Mac. Its just then my parents said I can't leave yet. They still think I need a break.

Me: I just miss you.

Jake: I miss you too babe. 

Me: You remember Sam, right?

Jake: the popular boy that helped you fit in. Yeah I remember, why?

Me:  he kissed me. 

...A long pause.....

Jake: Did you kiss him back?

Me: At first but then I pulled away. I told him I loved you and only you. I mean that Jake. 

Jake: Mac, I love you too. Its just that we wont be seeing eachother for awhile. Maybe we should take a break. 

Me: Jake, the kiss meant nothing.

Jake: Mac, its not the kiss. Its this relationship. I need you here. Seeing you over camera and hearing your voice everyday makes it harder. I'm sorry.

Me: Fine, Jake. 

Jake: Mac, i'll always love you.

Me: Bye Jake.

   I hang up the phone, toss it on the floor and fall over unto my bed. I allow the tears to roll down my cheek. This didnt feel like the first time Jake and I broke up. My heart didnt hurt as much as it did now. I wasnt really inlove with him the first time we broke up, but now. He's my everything. Yet apart of me was relieved for both of us. Jake was right. He does hurt not being able to hold him.

"Mackenzie" Chelsea says walking into my room. "I was kind of eavesdropping. You guys broke up?"

I shrug. "I guess. He says we need to take a break."

"He didn't deserve you Mac."

"You're only saying that because you're my sister."

"No you're beautiful and amazing. You don't fall inlove easily but when you love someone Mac, we can tell. If you guys are destined for eachother, you'll be together."

"Thats what dad said." I say raising my eyebrows at her.

She chuckles. "He is my father."

     She tusssles my hair and walks out the room. I wipe my wet cheeks. She was right. If Jake and I were meant to be together, then one day, we will be again.
