Nina pov

After that nightmare thing this morning I was off my morning routine. I ate breakfast at seven forty five instead of seven thirty, which made me late for training, which I never am. The rest of the class was all ready shooting. By walking by I noticed that out of the three who were singled out yesterday, two had a better aim and were improving. Jack was practicing with the handgun. I grabbed a random gun from the table and started shooting at my target. After a few shots, which were extremely accurate, dad came back over the hill. With mike. My guess was he still hadn't mastered the handgun. My dad had us form our line again and this time he said a list of people. "Nina,Jack, Annie, Matt, Chase, Jenna, and Phoebe. You guys will be tested today as an exam. Alex and Mike, you are gonna practice more until your better. The exam is at ten, so get practicing." He said putting down his list on the table and watching us each grab a gun. I went up to talk to him. "Dad I don't see why I had to do the exam since I already graduate. What's the point?" I said as he pulled me away from the rest of the class. "It's just the handgun exam, and by the rate the two slackers are going, if we don't skip rifles, they'll never get to machine guns in time to graduate." I try to keep my face expressionless. "But they probably won't even have to fire any other gun besides the handguns. I, have never had to use a gun-" My phone started buzzing, and my dads a moment later.

Some of the students, developed a program to alert the xmen if there was an emergency, or a mission. There is a pop up that says yes or no. If you click yes, then your saying you can go on the mission. If you click no, your not able to go. My dad pulls out his phone. "Can you take this one kid? I got a class." He said with a smile. As much as a smile one could get from my dad. I click yes and he soon clicks no. "Your uniform is in your drawer in the storage space near the jet." He says clapping his hand on my shoulder. "Alright class who's first?" he yells to the remaining students. I, bolt to the elevator that'll take me to the basement. I push the down button just as Storm comes in. "Nice to see you Nina. is your father coming?"

"No, he was in the middle of class. He sent me. Do you know what we're doing?" I ask as the elevator dings. She steps out first and I follow. "Nothing too big, just the average case." She says turning a corner. "What did they do?" I ask slowing down to count the numbers on the hundreds of drawers that lined the hallway. "I'll fill you in on the jet." She said walking towards the massive jet.

Stopping at my drawer, number 142, I place my thumb on the scanner and it opens. Folded neatly is my uniform. I grab it, slam the drawer closed, and ran to the jet. Once I was seated in the jet with my uniform on, along with the other xmen who decided to come, Storm started talking.

"We are after a mutant, who was reported to the police when he broke into a bar, outside of Toronto. He didn't steal anything, but scared the owner to death. We are suppose to look for him." She said as I tied my boots. I sit up and ask. "How are we suppose to find the guy when he's probably long gone?"

Thankfully, Storm didn't take my question as a joke, cause it wasn't. Maybe I got that from my dad...

"If we can't find the person then we can at least reassure the town that he's gone." She said leaving the rest of us in the back as she goes to the cockpit.

I get a look at the other xmen who decided to come. Scott was there to my far right. On my left, there was Bobby, also known as Iceman. The four of us. Wow. That... I kinda sad. Everyone else is busy, so I guess we have to make the best with what we have. So I just sat there in silence. Until Iceman decided to speak up. "Why're you here?" he said questioningly. "Dad couldn't make it. You?" I said leaning back, crossing my arms. "Just to break the boredom." He said laughing. "Your Logan's kid aren't you?" I nod. "I get that a lot."

"No it's just that your the youngest xmen ever! Most of the kids around here idolize you."

This is kinda... creepy. Just a bit though. It's not everyday people compliment me on that. Most of the time the others just forget I joined at thirteen.
