We still have a week before school starts, and since it'll be the 1st day, I'm guessing it'll all be about introduction to the professors and lessons/topics etc. I called Ming earlier to notify him that I want to watch a movie and shop for some supplies for school later, in which he agreed and we'll meet around 2 in the afternoon.

After taking a shower and picking my clothes, I waited for Ming to arrive as I read some of my One Piece mangas. I was so immerse in reading that a loud knock echoes inside my room. Standing and going near the door, I open it and revealed Ming who is fully dressed wearing casual clothes.

"Let's go?" He asks as soon as I saw his face, or the other way around. Nodding my head at him, I went inside the room, grab my wallet, phone and keys, then went out.

Arriving at his car, he asked me a question.

"Do you want to eat first or watch movie first?" He glances at me as he opens the car's door.

"Hmm~" I hesitated before snapping my fingers. "I want to eat Blueberry Scone, Chocolate Croissant and drink Java Chip Frappuccino at Starbucks, then watch the movie." I replied, specifying the things I've been craving since the other day. I buckle my seatbelt once I'm comfortably seated at the shot gun's seat.

"Sheesh! Still a heavy eater as always, then when we're at the cinema you'll order popcorn and another drink again!" He retorted as he starts the engine and drives away. I nodded my head and started laughing.

"Well of course! The movie isn't good without any food to eat, and drink!" I riposte while laughing, he only nodded his head in defeat.

"I still can't believe your family doesn't go bankrupt by all your exorbitant eating habit." He teased as we're speeding off the highway. I gave him a churlish look then smiled wickedly.

"Yeah? Well I can't believe that your family still doesn't know you're doing 'DR', should I tell them about it ai wen (bastard [if I'm right])?" I retorted making him eyes wide open and look at me with pure menace.

"Don't you dare!" He threaten as he gave me one last killer look then focus his attention at the road. I laugh triumphantly after all that bickering we had.

Another secret to be told, Ming is actually a badass. People often see him as an angelic, annoying, good example Alpha, but in reality, he isn't. Only a few knows about this secret of his, including me of course! He actually participates in Drag Racing, that's why we created the code 'DR' to hide it. He first started it when we're in 8th grade, an older cousin of his taught him how to drive a motorcycle then a car. When we reach 10th grade, he started competing in (illegal) drag racing also known as street racing, earning tons of money from different people.

He had to wear a mask to cover his face, avoiding any paparazzi or some nosy people knowing his identity, but he goes by the name: Ace. Why that name? I also don't know, he said that it means a person who excels at something, in English. Though I laughed my ass off hearing his nickname during the matches, but it's quite cool, I admit.

He borrows his cousin's car or motorcycle for the race, then returns it back to him when it ends. P'Korn, Ming's cousin who taught him how to drive, splits the money Ming earns from the race to 40-60. 40% for his team and the rest goes to Ming.

I still can't believe Ming hasn't told his parents about this habit of his, it's been years since then! Well, I can't judge but I'm sure he'll get a lot of trouble once auntie and uncle finds out.

I didn't realize that I've spend the whole drive explaining Ming's secret, I was suddenly pulled back to reality when Ming parks infront of the mall, at the available parking space.

"We're here!" Ming cheered as he unbuckles his seatbelt and turn off the engine. I also unbuckled mine and went out of the car, stretching my body. It wasn't really a long drive, just around 15 minutes without the traffic. As soon as Ming locks his car, we started walking our way to Starbucks to order my food.

Sitting at the table after retrieving my food and drink, I started munching at them hungrily, ignoring my friend who is busy scrolling his phone.

"Yo, what movie do you like to watch?" He asks as he handed me his phone, allowing me to pick a movie for us. I scrolled and scrolled until I found the movie I wanted to see, it was a Rom-Com movie with a twist of Action and stuff, I saw the trailer and it was so good that I have to watch it. I pointed it at him and he nodded in agreement.

Waiting for me as I finish my food and drink, Ming started chattering telling stories about his new life living at the dorm, while I return the favor. Noticing my food has vanished, I gestured him that we should leave soon cause the movie is about to start, just 15 minutes more.

Understanding my actions, he stood up, and so does I. We went to the cinemas afterwards and ordered one large popcorn for the both of us, preferably for me and two drinks. Sitting at the back of the left row inside the cinema, I started munching at the popcorn as Ming 'steals' my food every now and then till the movie ends.

After the movie ends, I told him that I'll buy the things I needed at the bookstore, and text him when I'm done afterwards. He agreed and said he'll buy some clothes to add in his closet, and then we parted ways.

Busying myself with my phone while walking, I was caught off guard when the awfully familiar scent struck my nose for a good minute. I search frantically for that person and saw him walking just across me, but way too far from me. He seems in a hurry, so I had to run up to him, but only catches the back side of his figure as he went out of the mall and to the parking lot, as I also reached the bookstore.

Sighing in defeat and blushing a little bit, taking a glimpse of P'Pha's back made my heart skip a beat. I entered the bookstore and start choosing the possible things I needed for class, totally forgetting, rather distracting me, from earlier's unexpected event. I was busy choosing a notebook that I didn't notice I accidentally bump into someone.

"What the fu-" The guy who's shorter than me, which I bumped, turned around and gave me an icy killer glare.

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice." I apologize automatically as soon as I met his eyes, I drop my head and waited for a scolding. But gladly, I didn't, I was just shock when a giggle was heard coming from him.

"Ouh. Don't be sorry na~ it's also my fault for not noticing." He chuckled as he gave out a somehow creepy, for me, smile. I smiled back at him, he was about to open his mouth when someone called his name.

"Ei'Montry you bitch, hurry up will ya?!" Another guy called out as the other guys followed him, his gang perhaps? I look at them bemused  and astonished.

"Can't wait for your pussies to get laid aye? Just wait will you?! I'm just talking to someone here!" He retorted as he moves closer to his friends. I was agape by their choice of words, how bold of them to say that in public! I guess they're toot (gay)?

His friends grab his arm and yank him closer to them, then waves at me...I think..??? I just stood there
completely baffled by what just happened.

After recovering, I went to the counter and paid all the things I bought.
