Beam

Few weeks passed, we thought Pha might forgot N'Yo, but unexpectedly, he didn't. His love, or so we called, never withered, but instead it strengthened. It was unexpected to see this side of him, he was completely different when Yo's involved.

We've been following him, or stalking Yo for weeks now, and yet Pha doesn't make a single move on him. He's just helplessly staring at him, observing him doing those little things.

So today, we have a mini basketball match with another school, and since Pha, Kit and I are overall varsity players, we should be included in the first line up.

I heard our competitors are pretty good, but we'll see, we are sure to beat them all, and besides we have Pha on our side.

~
As expected, we beat them. They sure are tuff, but with Pha on our side, nothing can beat us! (evil laughs).

After finishing our mini game, I first bid goodbye to my friends, I have something to pass to the teacher, then I excused myself.

Finishing my task, I walked down the corridor and smelled something familiar. The scent is similar to the sea, but as far as I know, we're in the middle of the city, and way too far from the sea. I can't help but wonder where the scent is coming from, out of curiosity, I followed the scent and it lead me to an unfamiliar figure.

His back was facing me and he was walking hastily, he suddenly dropped his handkerchief and I eagerly picked it up and called his attention.

"Uhm..hey you!" I shouted. He heard it and successfully turned his head towards me. I hold up his handkerchief and said, "Your handkerchief fell."

He seems to be confused but he ran up to me, grabbed his handkerchief and thanked me.

How odd, for a man to be emitting such scent, now I understand what Pha said. I immediately ran to where my friends are waiting for me and we went out to eat some snacks.

Today is the day for sports fest, where everyone is required to participate on any sports and some activities for students to have fun.

I decided to participate in bowling, after all, I'm tired playing and participating in these events. Pha and Kit participated in a relay race, both are not teammates though, Kit was in team blue, while Pha was in team red.

I could also notice our N'Yo was one of the crowd, I mean, you could just spot him easily because of his glasses, and accompanying him is his friend.

They were observing, rather, staring at Pha, N'Yo's eyes never left Pha. Of course Ai'Pha will never notice since the crowd would just squeeze our little nong and would be invisible. The race was about to start, I decided to descend from the crowd and approach my best of friends. I faked a cough to get their attention as they were busy talking to each other, they turned their heads and a smile evident on their faces.

"Beam!" Kit yelped just like a cute little puppy.

"Well, good luck you guys. Especially you Ai'Pha." I said mockingly, I mean he doesn't need luck, he already have it since birth! Alphas of course!

"Huh? What do you mean?" Pha was perplexed by my statement, so does Kit.

"Well, your N'Yo is watching you intently, and I'm sure he will cheer for you." Pha was agape, again, an unreadable expression on his face. I'm guessing he's trying to process the words I just said. Kit just started laughing, silently.

"If you're not sure, why don't you turn around and see for yourself." I said daring him to do so, I bet his face will enlighten just from the sight of his Yo. He slowly turn his head, his neck seemed stiff doing so, he started searching for that particular person with his eyes, and the time he met those eyes, he stared at it, for a long time, a very long time. Kit followed Pha's gaze and also N'Yo, he smiled but then soon fade when his eyes met Ming's, Yo's protective friend, or so I guess. Kit avoided Ming's gaze and directed his gaze in front, Pha was just staring...lovingly? I don't know the right words. I could see that N'Yo was blushing ...hard from afar. The pink color apparent on his face told me so, I guess he stared at Pha for too long and became shy when their eyes locked each other. And here I am, just watching with satisfaction, a big smile formed, it's more than satisfying discovering a new side of your friends, a good one though.

Their 'intense' staring game of theirs stopped when a booming voice was heard from the microphone in front. The dean of the school stood in front, giving some speech to encourage students to become healthy, engange in team building and sports etc, but I didn't listen, of course.

The national anthem was played and the games has begun.
