BEYOND THE KILLER'S MIND

Chapter 1 - Beyond...the walls.

My name is Nathaniel Jaccobs. I'm basically the big talk in the class. I hate it. All the girls are always invading me and some of the boys hate me because they think it was my fault that their girlfriends fell for me more then them. I really hate how the world works.

Being the smartest and the best athlete in the class doesn't exactly give you the authority to tell off someone for annoying you. Especially if your parents are owners of a big movie studios or whatever.

"Nathaniel! Can you please get your fans to shut up!?" raged my best friend, Ben, who was sitting next to me in the car.

"I don't have control over those girls man. If you want to shut them up then go ahead. Die at your own cost." I said stepping out of the car.

The screams and glares came right at me with all might. Everyone was making a ruckus. I'll admit, it's nice to be popular. But not so popular that you have eighth grade girls mothers swarming over you even when you're in junior year. Yes, I am in fact a junior. Don't be so surprised! My parents got me a personal driver and a bodyguard to take me places. Ben just happened to ask to come with me.

As I pushed my way through the crowds and ignored the screaming girls I saw that in a distance there was a boy who was giving me a death sign with his eyes. I truly felt like he was serious about killing me. I could already see his eyes filling with darkness and a murderous rage. It must be because his girlfriend broke up with him to go for me. That's the usual reason why guys hated me. I didn't even know him for alls sake!

"Hurry up man! What's the hold up!?" yelled Ben.

I looked back at him and walked faster to class. It seemed that the ruckus had quieted down a bit after a girl who was reading a book passed by in the hallway. I stared at her but it was like she was glued to her book. She stopped at a classroom and I realized that it was my classroom. The minute she disappeared all the ruckus began again.

Walking towards the door, when I entered it was silence. I glanced at Ben who was behind me.

Leaning towards him so he could hear what I was going to say I whisper, "Did I miss something?"

"Like I would know. I'm only interested in today's game. That's all." Ben replied.

"Where have you been! There's a new girl in class." whispered Louis as he walked up to us.

He pointed to the girl I saw in the hallway. Louis was part of our little group. He was ranked second hottest in the entire school according to his "fan club". After me of course.

"I was out of town for a bit. Ben came with." I said walking to my seat.

"Yeah anyways, the new girl apparently got in a fight with some high schoolers outside of school last week and she got suspended for the first two weeks of school. Now that she's come back she's now the school's most feared girl." Louis explained.

"Name?" Ben asked.

"No clue. No one's cared to ask her yet."

"Why are people so scared around here? It's not like she's a murderer. Watch, I'll go ask her." I walked up behind her and right before I was able to say anything she stood up from her seat and went to hang up her backpack on the hook next to her desk.

I watched as she hung her backpack. When she raised her arms to hang it up I caught sight of a dark bruise right by her shoulder.

"Hey, my name is Nathaniel-"

"I know who you are. Your the school's dream boy." she said plainly.

"Great! Makes things easier. Do you mind if I ask for your-"
