BEYOND THE KILLER'S MIND
Chapter 8 - Beyond...good to bad to okay.
The sun was shinning brightly but there was a cold chilling breeze. I pulled into Marceline's driveway. Ben suggested knocking but I quickly stopped him. Marceline's mom wouldn't like two guys at her doorstep looking for her daughter.
So I instead took out my cell and called Marceline. Surprisingly she answered. Then again she did delete my contact from her phone so she wouldn't know who was calling.
"Marceline Mayrin speaking. Who is this?" Marceline asked in a polite adult way.
"No need for formalities. Ben and I are outside waiting for you." I said amused.
"Just come on up. My moms at work." Marceline replied before hanging up.
My mind instantly began to flood with worry and excitement. Go inside Marceline's house and get a chance to see her room. Or don't go inside and get a chance to show my respect. I couldn't get any sleep last night because these set of question kept on invading my mind.
"Come on." I said to Ben opening up my door and making my way to the porch.
Marceline did invite us in...
"I'm still not packed yet. Just chill in the family room until I'm ready. There's snacks on the table in the kitchen too." Marceline explained as soon as we got into the house.
Then she ran off down a hallway and up some stairs. Her footsteps weren't that heavy but you could hear the floor boards creek. Ben stood by the door waiting nervously. While I sat down and made myself at home. I wanted to give off that feeling to Ben that I had come here lots of times before. To tell him that I was Marceline's friend.
I don't know why but I feel Ben is a threat to Marceline and I. There's no real reason but he just feels like a threat.
I saw Marceline pass by and go to a cupboard then go back upstairs. She was running all over the place. Marceline maybe came downstairs several times to get something, and two of them were to grab a cookie from the kitchen.
"Done! Let's go!" Marceline announced walking towards us with a backpack in hand.
Marceline was wearing a one-piece outfit. Her shirt was connected to her shorts. Marceline's hair was tied back into a pony tail and her bangs swung smoothly without tangle across her forehead. She had black shorts with a white shirt and black strips. With a pink bow on one of her shoulders. Marceline had Nike sneakers and what looked like a bracelet on her ankle.
What were those called again...something bracelet. I know it's a bracelet but I forgot what it's called.
Both her wrists had accessories on them. One had hair ties and the other had a watch. Marceline also had a rad cap on with a skull on it. Her backpack was a plain black backpack with red outlines and a Nike symbol on it.
* New discovery #13: Marceline likes Nike.
She approached us and stood waiting. I expected Ben to say something but he didn't. I obviously didn't say anything too stunned by how much skin Marceline was showing with a t shirt and shorts. She was practically glowing.
"Let's get going then." Ben finally said.
Thank god someone said something! If I had to say something I would say something so stupid Marceline would die. From my stupidity I mean.
When we got to the car Marceline sat behind Ben and put her backpack in the trunk.
"Seat belt. Both if you." Marceline reminded us putting on hers.
