Author's POV
The sun rose at noon, lighting all daily activities in the realm below. Unknown to a certain princess, someone would pass and give her a little visit.
"I ask you again, why are you here?"
"Do I need a reason to visit my dearest?"
"Yes, you do. Now, why are you here?"
"I was just bored and wanted to visit."
"Lovely excuse, now the truth please."
"But I wasn't─"
One glare silenced him. He sighed and decided to tell her.
"Fine, I'll tell you. I didn't want to say it though. You seem to be in a sour mood."
"I am, so spit it out."
The dark child sighed forced to deliver the news.
"He sent me a message."
She choked on her breath.
"What did he say?"
Tenebris stayed silent saying no more.
"Tenebris lux vexillifer* you will answer my question. What did he say?"
"Rose, I can't possibly tell you what he told me. I don't want you to be preoccupied with this. I'll deal with it."
She growled and threw herself at him. He stumbled and fell whilst she pinned his wrists down.
"Tenebris, I don't care if I have to use force, I will get the answer out of you!"
He effortlessly flipped her under him.
"I'm not telling you, Rose!"
"Why can't you tell me?! What's so bad about knowing what he wants?"
The boy chuckled sinisterly, "You want to know what he wants? Fine then, I'll tell you. Rose, he wants you."
She glared in response, "Do you really think that now is the time to joke around?"
"Do you really think I would joke about something like this? I love you Rose and if anyone were to take you away I'd be broken."
"That's the reason why. You're being selfish."
Tenebris let go of her limbs and moved away.
"Call me selfish all you want, I won't let him take you away from me. You have no idea of the horrors you'll live once you're in there. You have no idea." he muttered disappearing into the shadows leaving Rose alone.
She stayed where she'd fallen. With every minute passing by, her guilt would slowly consume her.
"Maybe I shouldn't have asked after all. . ."
She sat up and looked at her window. The breeze settled in, taking her breath away. One word came to mind, Vaati. He was the wind, soft and subtle yet strong and destructive. Tenebris knew it, she knew it.
"I should apologize."
Rose's POV
I went to my closet and shuffled through my closet until I found an appropriate outfit.
"I guess this works."
A top, green and slightly fitted with beige puffed out sleeves. Brown fingerless gloves rose midway up to my forearms clumping up the soft satin fabric. The bottom of my outfit was of a simple design. With a pair of murky brown leggings, and knee-high boots. The whole thing was complete with a green hood and cape.
I took a quick shower and dressed for my next biggest adventure if you could even call it an adventure.
Hopefully, I'd be able to find him. I sneaked out, past the guards, through the shadows and into the forest. From there, it was like I wasn't in control. My body moved on its own, going further from the light. Leaves were no more, the sun didn't shine. It was quiet, not a song or a camper. . . nothing.
I laid down in the burnt brittle grass. My previously guilty conscious was now blank, devoid of any thoughts. I couldn't pinpoint emotions, it was just a big mess of everything. It was weird, I just felt empty. My eyes were fixed on the sky but all one could see was clouds. Hours passed by and all I saw was big grey masses covering the sky like a thick blanket. I sighed and got up. There was no point in staying here any longer. Just as I was about to leave a voice called out to me.
Rose. . .
My gaze wandered around.
Where was that voice coming from?
Rose dear. . .
The sultry tone of their voice sent vigorous shivers down my spine. The force made me collapse to my knees. A shadow emerged before me. I was shaking. She looked exactly like me but her eyes. . . they were glowing red. She had no pupil or iris, just a glowing opening for her eyes and mouth.
Rose sweetie, you can't leave now.
With every passing second, she approached me.
"Don't get any closer."
Rose, you can't leave me.
"No don't."
She suddenly lunged toward me. I wanted to scream but her hand slammed itself on my lips. My eyes widened in horror. She forced my head to the ground with such strength. My vision blurred pain filling my skull. She smiled and placed her other hand on my stomach.
Rose, you can't leave this place. . . At least not without me
She sunk her hand in my abdomen laughing in glee. I screamed in agonizing pain feeling her crush my organs. More and more blood spluttered from my lips the further her hand went. I could feel her sinking deeper into me, clinging to my soul. Her hand slipped from lips and my screams echoed in the surroundings.
When I was silent, she was completely gone. I felt great numbness in my abdomen, spreading across my body. I slightly tilted my head and say darkness crawling on my skin. I couldn't stop it, it kept going up. She merged with my soul, my shadow was trying to take over.
The pain dimmed, the darkness seeped into my face. Before I blacked out I called the one person who could help me.
"Tenebris. . ."
Author's POV
Back in his cabin, Tenebris felt uneasy. He kept thinking about their argument. He felt bad for being too brutal, but he couldn't help it. She was his light and he wouldn't let her go.
He suddenly felt a tug at his heart. His hand clenched his chest as it ached. The sudden pain flowed across his body. Something was wrong, he could feel it. The tenseness continued, only getting worse by the minute.
"Tenebris. . ."
He bolted out his door and straight in the forest. He desperately looked for her.
"Rose, where are you, you idiot!"
No answer.
"Damn it! Where in the world are you?" he screamed still running around "I will find you no matter what. Wait for me wherever you are."

Rose's POV
Is he looking for me?
How sad. . .
Hopefully, for him, he finds me before I find him.

Translations:
So you guys know that Tenebris means dark or darkness, but if you write Dark/Darkness Light Bearer in google translate, the translation will be a little different. So what I translated from English to Latin is his "last name" so Light Bearer.
