Vaati's POV

When the morning light rose upon my face, I shifted away from the beaming light in order to rest at ease. I then felt the cold morning air, that sent me in shivers. I pulled the drapes closer to my skin. When the birds started singing I had it.

"Enough!" I yelled sending a gust out my window. I could hear screeches and rustling leaves. When it all settled, I sighed, it was finally quiet. Now that I was awake, my first task was to check on the princess. I hope sweet Rose didn't trash my room too much. When I unlocked the door, to my great surprise, she was hadn't moved a single item. She just sat on the couch near the library. She was quietly reading a book on magic.

"Interested in my art?"

She didn't look up but slapped the book shut, "I find it intriguing, yes but my interest has nothing to do with you. I'd rather not make the association."

"Well, that's not a very nice thing to say, especially after I took you out of your cell."

She scoffed and placed the manual aside, "I doubt you really felt bad for what you did. I am your hostage after all."

"Be careful deary, you wouldn't want me to cut your air supply. Although I do find the image of you gasping whilst trying to catch your breath entertaining."

She giggled and walked towards me, "You wouldn't dare. After all, I intrigue you."

Without a word, I left the room locking the door again. I went back to the throne room in a pissy mood. She could practically read me like an open book while I could not get past the sublime beauty of her eyes.

"Well, if you insist on being so difficult, let's give you dear friends a challenge," I said waving my hand around, "Have fun dear heroes."

Somewhere in the Palace. . .

Tenebris' POV

"Tenebris slow down! You won't be able to get far without us!"

I growled for the third time in the last minute, Link was getting on my nerves. The sudden thrashing winds were not helping me quench my anger.

"You said you were going to help me, so walk faster! I'm not slowing down because you can't keep up."

"Damn it Tenebris!"

I ignored him once more and kept walking. He wasn't going to stop me from reaching her. My solitude was great without her presence and the unsettling atmosphere of the terrain did not soothe my anguish. Our journey thus far had been easy. . . too easy. We had not heard a single scream, nor had we encountered any challenges. My train of thought was cut short by a sudden split in the path. Quite literally through the centre of the road, forcing me to come to screeching halt. This obstacle prevented any further advance towards my goal, hence why I stood fuming, waiting for the group to join me. They finally caught up me a few moments later, panting and irritated.

"Could you not run off like that?! We're supposed to be working as a team and we can't do that if you refuse to cooperate!" screamed Link.

"Instead of yelling at me why don't you start picking up the others?" I growled.

He did not reply to my outburst, opting to glance at his companions before addressing me in a calm manner.

"We know you want to save her at all cost but at the rate, you're going, you'll be dead before you even reach the fight."

I almost punched him then and there. If he said another word, I'd throw him down to land, "I suggest you stay quiet before I make a move that I will definitely not regret."
