Chapter Nine

Brett's POV

After I get my stuff from my house I see a light on at Weylyns but knowing he is at the pack house I go to look smelling a rogue, I knew someone was supposed to watch over his house so where is he, as I look, I see an alpha wolf that turned rogue. I try to run but he gets me, Knocking me to the ground and pinning me there is wolfs fur matted in blood and mud, but I feel something, a bond? I look at the wolf and feel safe I feel the mating pull but why this wolf. He Shifts to human. "My mate, I am Josh, and you will come with me back to where my pack house is and we will start a new," he tells me like I have no choice, accepts him or dies. "I am Brett, former omega of the Black Woods pack here I was just leaving," I tell Josh. I still want Weylyn but the goddess knows what she is doing, so I take Josh to my car so we can leave. As we are pulling away I see Austin's truck pull up to Weylyn's house.

Austin's POV

We pull up to Weylyn's house and I see a few lights on, but last I remember when we left I made sure the house was secure. I look at Weylyn and tell him to stay in the truck for a moment so Damien and I can check something. When we walk in the house is ransacked and is a complete mess, clothes are all over the place and items on the floor. "Looks like someone was trying to find something, but what?" Damien ask me. "I see that, also do you smell that?" I ask Damien. " I do it's the same rogue smell from last time, not just that but Brett's scent as well." He tells me with a confused look on his face. I look around trying to survey the scene to see if I see any clues, but there are no obvious clues. We decide that Weylyn will be better off living at the pack house where he can be safer and he can be protected. I head out to the truck and tell Weylyn "the house has been attacked by a rogue." "What's a rogue?" He asks me. "A rogue is a wolf who left or been banished, but if he's an alpha then his pack has been destroyed or disbanded," I explain to him. " Really, why would he attack my house," Weylyn asks me getting worried. "That's a good question, but we can tell that Brett has been here as well," I tell him. "Brett, why would he be here?" Weylyn asks. "My only guess is that he was with the rogue, which would explain why your house was attacked," I tell him, "but Damien and I have agreed it'd be safer for you to come live at the pack house with us." " Honestly, I wouldn't mind that getting to be with y'all more would be amazing." He tells me, as he tells me this my wolf howls on the inside. "Weylyn, go inside and get as many small things you can like clothes, and we will send warriors to get the rest of your things later on today," I tell him walking over to the driver door. He gets out of the truck and heads inside, I stay outside and survey the area.

Weylyn's POV

After talking to Austin outside I walk into my house seeing it is indeed a complete mess but nothing looks to be missing. I get clothes and what else I can, remembering to get my necklace from my bathroom the one place that's not a mess or even touched, I put it on as its only one part of a necklace it is a crescent moon necklace that I have had since I was given up. I get all my things then head back to the truck. I put it on after I get back to the truck. "That's an interesting necklace Weylyn." Austin says as I load my stuff up. "thank you Austin, it was with me from day one," I tell him. As I get done loading the truck I get in and smiles "ready to go,"I tell them as Damien gets in as well. " Ok I'll tell James to have some pack warriors ready to come over for the rest of your things," I tell him as I start the truck. "How do y'all talk to each other without phones?" I ask him. "We have what's called a mind link, a link between the wolves that we are close to such as family,packs, or mates." Damien tells him, "I feel though you are human there's a chance you could develop it as well with us." "We are not sure I am fully human though," I say to him, I subconsciously grab my necklace and smile. "That is very true Weylyn," Austin begins to say " that we will discover for sure tomorrow with the full moon." "True we will," I tell him. We pull up to the pack house and I can see James on the front porch, Austin must have told him what happened. After we get out I walk to him, "I have some breakables at the house, be careful," I tell James. "We will Luna Weylyn," James tells me bowing his head. With that James and a few pack members head to a truck and head out. We head inside and I get settled. "We will have the pack meeting when James and the others get back," Austin tells me. "What are y'all meeting about?" I ask him. "We are gonna introduce you to the pack as our third Mate," Austin tells me. "You think it's time?" I ask him. "Yes we figured we should so we can prepare for tomorrow," Austin says as he helps put my things away. "That is true, do you or Damien have any idea what's gonna happen tomorrow?" I ask as I sit down. "We don't, but we will be right here with you to find out," Austin says as he sits next to me and puts his arm around me as Damien sits on the other side of me. Just then Austin stands up and says that James and the others are back. We make our way to the front porch just as we see the truck pull up. " Go ahead and take Weylyn's things to his room we will have the pack meeting as soon as yall are done," Austin tells the warriors. I smile "Thank you guys for getting my stuff," I tell them and they say "your welcome Luna," I smile softly. I help them with what I can despite Austin insisting that I just let them get it all. After we get everything put up and away, Austin tells James to get the pack together for the meeting. While we wait, Damien, Austin, and I go to Austin's office.

Austin's POV

As we get to my office I keep thinking about Weylyn's necklace, it looks so familiar to me. I open the door to my office and when I do it hits me as I see it laying on my desk, the other half of the necklace. This half has been handed down from Alpha to Alpha in my family saying that one day the other half will show and there will be a time of great peace but only after a great battle between the goddess and her brother. "Weylyn can I see your necklace please," I ask. " Sure, why?" Weylyn asks me. "I'll show you," I say as I walk over and pick up the other half putting them together," this is why weylyn," I say holding it up. I look seeing his waxing crescent half makes my waxing Gibson half complete a full moon, as he looks at it I see his eyes go to an amber yellow like an alpha wolfs would but then return to normal. Just then I hear James through our mind link tell me that the packs assembled so we head to the meeting hall. "how are you feeling Weylyn?" I ask him. "I feel fine a little light headed but ok, I hope they like me," he says.

Weylyn's POV

As we walk outside to the backyard I see at least a hundred people all wolves, "Austin thank you, for accepting me here," I tell him as we walk to the center front of the group, "your welcome my dear Luna," He tells me before Damien and I stop and he walks up to speak the wolves all go quiet. "Thank you for coming to this meeting, I have a big announcement to make," he says, "I'm sure many of you have noticed our new house member, his name is Weylyn Orton, he is new to town but most of all the goddess has blessed me and Luna Damien with another mate as well." With that their many murmurs throughout the pack. " Now I know many of you may not understand it but it is true, Also I need all of you to keep an eye out for Brett as he has left the pack and gone rogue," Austin says getting serious, "He left last night and he may be with another rogue." I walk up next to Austin after Damien nudges me and walks to his other side. "Weylyn will have something happen to him tomorrow during the full moon we are not sure what it will be or how it will affect him or us yet, but as a pack we will not let him go through it alone," he says as a pack member speaks up, "Alpha, what should we call your new mate?" he ask. "Of course as my mate, he will be known as Luna as well," Austin answers, "and he will carry all the roles of Luna that Damien has." I speak out "I will do my best for yall and my mates, this is all new to me, but I feel like it was something I knew deep down inside myself," I say to the pack. "I will answer any questions that yall have, to the best I know," with that there are a great cheer and applause throughout the pack, it is always a great time when a wolf especially an alpha finds their mate. I smile softly as I hear her voice again "Son this pack and your mates will protect you, and you them in ways you cant begin to understand when you wake, you will be one with the pack and free."
