Chapter three

Austin's POV

As I sit in the dining room with the rest of the pack as we eat breakfast I keep thinking about what the elder said and the strange feeling of the day before. I haven't told Damien about it yet as to not worry or confuse him as well, I will tell him after I have met Weylyn so I can understand it more. After I finish breakfast I go to my office and I use the pack mind link to talk to James, our lead pack warrior.

Weylyn's POV

I finish loading everything up in the truck and I am tightening down the straps on my bed, as I'm doing this I keep thinking about starting life on my own but also about the dream I had last night. What are mates, who was she why did she call me son? Pushing the thoughts to the side I get in my truck and starts to drive to my new home, remembering I forgot to get the key just call Sabrina when I get there.
After the three hour drive to Nashoba, I pull into the gas station to refuel and stretch out. Once I get done putting gas in my truck I call Sabrina asking her to meet me or have someone meet me at the house with the key.

James' POV

After alpha asked me to check on Mr. Orton I get a call from Sabrina asking me to run the keys of the house to him, so I tell her yes and that I was going to check on him anyway. So I leave the pack house to meet Sabrina to get the keys. Sabrina wants me to meet here at the local diner across town. I meet her and get the keys also getting some breakfast to go not sure if Mr. Orton will need help it not moving his stuff in. I get my food and head out to my vehicle so I can go meet Mr. Orton, as I pull in I see him sitting in his truck so I honk to get his attention.

Weylyn's POV

As I sit in my truck I suddenly hear a horn honk, I look over and see a guy in the car pull up. I get out and walk over as he gets out. "Mr. Orton?" He asks. "Yes I am, thank you for bringing the keys over to me," I tell him. After taking the keys from him and unlocking the house I undo the straps that made sure nothing moved or blew out of the truck as I drove. I start to unload the truck for now putting everything in the front room except my bed that I need help with. As I walk back outside I see the man who gave me the keys still standing by his vehicle "is there anything else you needed?" I ask him. He tells me"No I just wanted to make sure that you got moved in alright." He says to me. "I see, well think you can give me a hand moving my bed inside, it's too bulky for me too on my own." "Yah sure." He tells me. He walks over and starts to help take off the straps. "I'm James by the way, I'm Sabrina's brother," James tells me. "Nice to meet you, I'm Weylyn," I respond.

Damien's POV

"Austin why are you so on edge today, it's a normal day for you, hunt, work, play then if you get to it more work," I say to my mate. "I just have some things on my mind my Luna." He tells me." What's wrong you can talk to me." I assure him. " I'll tell you more when I'm sure with the situation, it's just something the elder told me." He says. "The elder? Why did you talk to him hun, I can help you through anything." I tell him. "I have had a weird feeling lately so I talked to him about it like I said I wanna be sure about it before we talk about it." He says. "Okay, hun I trust your judgment," I say as I hug him. I relax some feeling my mates arms wrap around me but for some reason feel something missing despite being complete with my mate in my arms.

Brett's POV

I see James car and Weylyn's truck at the house feeling a little jealous of a human that's mine I walk down to ask Weylyn out on a date tonight. I walk up to the door and knock. Weylyn opens the door and says "Oh hey Brett I'm just finishing up moving my stuff in with James help here." " Oh hey James, I take it Sabrina had u come over and help her get Weylyn settled?" I ask as James walks out of the hallway. " Yeah I was asked to bring the keys over for her while she's at her office, so I decided to help Weylyn move in his belongings." He tells me. "That's good, Weylyn um would you go out on a date with me tonight, nothing fancy just a burger or something," I ask in hopes of a yes. "Sure Brett, I will need a shower first so around 7 sound ok?" He asks me. "Yah that sounds great I'll pick you up if that's ok?" I ask him "Yeah that's fine Brett." He says smiling at me.

James's POV

I don't feel very comfortable with Brett asking Weylyn out like this so soon, I don't see the signs of them being mates. "Okay guys I am going home, Weylyn welcome to town hope you like it here." "I am sure I will James thank you for the help." He tells me. I go to my car and head to the pack house. "Alpha I need to ask you a question," I say in a mind link to alpha Austin. " Yes, what is it, James?" Austin answers back. " Did Brett ask you for permission to ask Weylyn out on a date?" I ask him. "He did not why do you ask?" He replies. "Because I was helping him move his things in after giving him the keys and Brett showed up and asked him out on a date," I tell the Alpha. "I see, thank you for telling me, I will be sure to talk to Brett about this," Alpha tells me.

Austin's POV

After hearing this news from James my wolf starts to get restless " He is meant to be our mate, not Bretts." He tells me through our link."I understand but I still don't know how to handle this." I tell him. I close the mind link with my wolf and think to myself"I really need to meet Weylyn and get this figured out." "Are you on your way back to the pack house?" I ask James through our mind link. "Yes I am" he answers. "Okay, when you get here to meet me in my office and we will figure out what to do," I tell him. "Yes Alpha," he says.
