Chapter Eleven

Josh's POV

"Are you ready to answer me now little wolf?" I ask the wolf tied up in front of me. "Not any more than I was earlier you pathetic excuse for an alpha." He says with a smile. "Why you little," I say to him as I punch him in the gut," don't you know how to respect an alpha." "Oh I do, but an alpha that deserves respect," Phillip says coughing up blood. "I doubt he really knows," Brett tells me. " Oh I bet you're just being soft on him because you two once belonged to the same pack," I say to him, "be glad that you are my mate or I would have you tied up here as well." Brett bows his head and backs off. "If you tell me I'll go easy on you and you can join my pack if you'd like." I tell Phillip."And why would I want to join a pack with no members but an alpha and a traitor." Phillip says beaming at Brett. "That's where your wrong little wolf, there's more than meets the eye," I tell him as I let out a howl. As I howl five wolves come into the room,"You howled for us Alpha?" The biggest one says as he bows. "Now I see more members than just me and my mate," I say with a smile.

Austin's POV

As we are driving toward the old crescent moon pack house I tell Jacob, James,and Patrick to remember that I want no violence unless we have to in order to ensure that we save Phillip."Jacob I want you and James with me at all times Patrick I want you to watch our backs, so we can't have any surprises." "Yes Alpha." The three wolves respond. I want this to go smoothly Phillip not only is a warrior of my pack but has been a close friend long before I became Alpha, same with Jacob,James,and Patrick that's why I chose them specifically to accompany me on this rescue. As we pull up to the house I look around and look at all the damage still left from the hunters attack years ago. We get to the house and we get out, we catch the scent of Phillip as well as the rogue and Brett. I walk to the front door and knock as I do this I have Patrick plan an escape route in case everything goes south. As the door opens with Brett answering it "hello Alpha Austin, how can I help you today," he says to me. "I'm here for Phillip and don't try and say you don't have him we are wolves after all," I say to him as I look him directly in his eyes. "He is but my mate is talking with him right now," as he says that I smell Philips blood. "Why do I smell his blood, I demand you take me to your mate and Philip now," I say not realizing the tone in my voice. "Well now Alpha Austin I was hoping we could do this in a peaceful manner." He tells me with a smirk. " We will but take me to my warrior so I know he's at least alive," I tell him getting more agitated. He chuckles more as he leads me to where Philip is as I see Josh hit him and he coughs up blood my wolf almost takes over. "Excuse me Alpha Josh, I am Alpha Austin of the Black Woods pack, I was wondering why you took a warrior wolf from my pack, most importantly one I had watching my second mate," I say. "Your second mate, the weak human, your second mate that's laughable, I thought you was an Alpha." He says to me laughing. "Don't you underestimate me I am Alpha of one of the strongest packs in the world," I tell him almost yelling. " I can understand Brett wanting him as a mate he's an Omega but you are an Alpha, you have a reputation to uphold and you wanna throw that away for a human?" He continues to laugh at me. "He's more then human, he's blessed by the goddess, she chose him to be my mate as well as a demon wolf hybrid, we will find out tomorrow night during the full moon if Weylyn is fully human or not. Why were you searching his house," I ask him. "I smelled the scent of my mate and well I found him" he says as he wraps his arm around Brett. As he does this Brett cowers down a bit. "You had no right to go into his house, it's not even your territory," I say getting more angry to the point I want to shift and just attack him. "I have a right to be wherever I want to be Austin." He says becoming a smartass. "That's Alpha Austin to you rogue," I tell him. "Alpha your warrior did even get a scratch on me, and your territory my pack was killed because y'all didn't get here soon enough to help save them, I will go into "your" territory as I please and make it mine," he tells me. "Austin, it's Weylyn he's starting to burn up he needs us both," Damien tells me through our link. "I'll be back as quick as I can my Luna." I tell him as I turn to Josh, " I'm done playing nice with you, give Phillip back or your dead." " Oh we will have to see you try weak Alpha," Josh says as he begins to shift. I shift as do the others in the room do the same I aim for Josh not wanting to waste time on this, my mate needs me, as we start fighting, I see two wolves on the ground and Josh snapping at Philip who's still tied to the chair so I attack Josh from the side. I aim for his neck and manage to pull him off, as Phillip unties his legs from the chair and shifts to join the fight. Josh manages to push me off then pounces on me, but I manage to roll out of the way. I look at him and just snarl, just then I hear glass break and orange flames appear nearby. I tell my warriors to retreat as the fire spreads, we manage to make it outside just as the fire envelops the entire house. After shifting back "We need to get back Weylyn needs me, Jacob take Philip to the hospital wing anyone else hurt go as well," I get in the truck and we all go back on the way back I start to feel what Weylyn is "why am I so hot it hurts, my body feels like it's on fire." I hear his voice in my mind.
