Park Jimin's voice had to be one of the most beautiful things Min Yoongi had ever had the pleasure of hearing.
He hit every note perfectly, and his voice went hand in hand with the music. It was a very carefully written song, Yoongi could tell. Jimin had obviously spent lots of time working on it; and quite frankly it paid off.
The older sat in awe watching as Jimin's facial expressions changed with the flow of different emotions coursing through the speakers. It was a sight to see, and it made Yoongi wonder if he looked anything like that when he rapped. He doubted it, Jimin was certainly something else.
He didn't realize the song had finished until he noticed Jimin had stepped out of the booth and was looking at him expectantly, panting slightly.
In all honesty, he couldn't blame the younger for being out of breath—a song like that was sure to have taken a lot out of him.
"That, was the best thing I've ever heard." Yoongi told him slowly, a gummy smile growing on his face. Jimin exhaled in relief and let out what sounded like a giggle. "Don't say that, hyung."
"But it's true!" Yoongi exclaimed, truly getting excited over a song. "You need to release that as soon as you possibly can. If all of your songs sound that amazing, you'll be number one in no time."
Jimin laughed and covered his face with his hands. "That means a lot. Thank you so much." It was muffled due to his sleeves, but Yoongi was able to hear it just fine.
Instead of replying, he snatched the headphones off of Jimin's head and stepped into the booth.
"Plug in the USB and choose any track you want," he instructed the younger, nodding towards the USB stick sitting on the table.
Jimin quickly complied and scrolled through the list. He decided on a song titled Give It to Me, and sat back as the music began to play.
Yoongi began his rap, and Jimin was left in shock. He didn't know the seemingly quiet boy could rap so passionately.
Jimin nodded along, listening intently and smiling as Yoongi began to get into his zone. He could tell the older was serious about his music, all eight completed tracks on the USB said as much.
Almost as quickly as it started, the song ended and Yoongi stepped out of the booth.
Jimin started applauding wildly, "Now that was the best thing I've ever heard."
"Obviously you haven't heard your own music then," he took a seat across from Jimin, "but thank you, Jimin, I appreciate it."
The younger shyly laughed in response and looked away, not really knowing what to say next.
Much to his delight, Yoongi took the initiative and relieved him from the task of starting a new conversation.
"You know, I'm surprised you asked me to meet you here today."
"And why is that?"
"Well for starters, we barely know each other. We haven't even had each other's snapchat for that long." Yoongi shrugged.
Jimin chuckled once again and tilted his head in thought. "I guess you're right, it is a little soon. But I don't see anything wrong with it."
"I don't either," Yoongi reassured him quickly, not wanting to give him the wrong idea. "It just surprised me."
Jimin nodded and paused for a second before looking back up at his hyung. "Well, I guess we can get to know each other now? Um, if you don't have any other plans, that is."
He leaned back in his seat lazily and propped his feet up on the table. "None at all. I like that idea."
And at that, they spent a majority of their afternoon discussing whatever topics popped into their minds. Music, Hoseok, Seoul, Namjoon, global warming, dogs, their favorite movies—the conversations were endless. As it turned out, they had many things in common.
They ended up losing track of time and left the studio at around six o'clock that evening. The pair were tired and rather hungry, but much closer friends than they would have ever hoped to be if they hadn't met up.
