Buffy and Cyrus quickly went back inside the event center to get Andi, Buffy telling her that they had to go home for an "emergency". It wasn't until they were walking to Andi's apartment that Buffy told her that it was because Cyrus was ready to talk.

They went inside of the house and sat on the couch in silence, the girls on either side of Cyrus who was staring at his hands and thinking.

"So," Andi started to say to lighten the mood. "What's up?'

When Cyrus didn't answer, Buffy looked at Andi and told her, "He got whipped by his step-dad yesterday."

Andi's eyes grew wide and she said to Cyrus, staring at the side of his head because he wasn't looking at her, "You what?"

Cyrus looked up at her then with silent tears slipping down his face. "He whipped me with his belt because of my grades."

Andi sat back in astonishment and Cyrus continued, "And my mom has been hitting me, too, and pushing me."

Buffy continued to look at the ground in silence and nodded her head to Cyrus' words. She had already known all of this, she could just sense it.

They sat in silence after Cyrus' words when the front door to the apartment pushed open. They all turned to see Bex putting her stuff down at the door, saying, "Andi, stop leaving the door unlocked."

When she looked up and saw them all, her expression shifted from angry to surprised. "Oh, hey guys," She said with a smile, until she saw Cyrus' face. "Cyrus, what's wrong?" She said as she started to walk towards the couch.

She went around and sat on the edge of her bed
