HENRY

It's been a week since we went to the wedding and I met Maci's father. I really had wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt in thinking that maybe he wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be but no such luck. He was just as much of an asshole like she always told me and that day, I wanted to beat his ass badly enough to put him in the hospital for months but I didn't. Maci had come out to us and stopped me from doing anything.

Arthur has been calling and messaging me everyday on my phone about if I got any information on Mike, her dad but I wasn't able to. However, just knowing what kind of an asshole he is makes me feel good that he is soon gonna get what he deserves and what he's had coming to him for a long time.

Tonight, I was having a big fight that I have been preparing for for a couple of months. Maci heard that Alex, her ex might be there and she at first wasn't wanting to go in case she ran into him again, however, I assured her there was nothing to worry about.

So we got ready and headed down to the arena. When we got there, sure enough, Alex was there and so was his whore of a girlfriend we met that one night at the club.

Maci and I quickly walked into the locker room and while my hands were getting wrapped up and I was trying to prepare myself mentally, I couldn't help but notice out the corner of my eye, Maci was standing against one of the lockers, looking down at the ground as though she was thinking about something.

"What's wrong baby?" I ask her.

"Nothing." She replies with a quick half smile.

"Come on. You can tell me." I assure her.

"Why do you have to fight him tonight?!" She asked, looking at me.

"Because this is a fight people have wanted to see for a couple of years now." I tell her.

"Why didn't you tell me that it was him you were fighting?" She asks with a hint of sadness and worry in her voice.

I take in a deep breath and let it out before getting up off the table and walking over towards her, placing one of my hands on the side of her face and looking into her eyes.

"Baby. I promise you that I will win. I am a far better fighter than he is and there are more people that have money on me winning then on him." I tell her.

"Yeah but, I have seen what he has done to people he hates and how he fights during competitions. I'm afraid." She tells me as she looks down at the floor again.

"Look at me." I tell her as I lift her chin with my hand. "Nothing will ever happen to me. Besides, you'll be right there." I smile at her.

She smiles a little bit and then I lean in and place a gentle kiss onto her soft sweet lips before grabbing her hand and both of us begin walking out towards the cage to begin the fight.

I had Maci take a seat in the front row with Karl and Lexi to watch me.

I was getting all pumped up even more and all I could focus on and think about was making sure Maci got to see someone finally put her ex in his place.

The announcer introduced Alex first and then me, which the crowds cheered louder for (like they always do).

As soon as the fight began, I let him get in a few moves first before I started in on him. Which we were going at each other for a good amount of time, not wasting any time and using all we had.

I got several cuts and bleeding on my face from his punches and a few bruises that I know I will feel in the morning on my left side but nothing too bad.

Finally, it was towards the end and it was time to take him down. So as soon as we started in on each other, I again, let him get in a few jabs here and there and he tried to kick me on the side of my head, however, that's when I blocked it and took that opportunity to do my signature move and as soon as my fist hit the side of his head, he fell to the ground so hard and was knocked out.

The crowd went crazy and cheered as the announcer claimed me as the winner. I was sore, sweaty, bleeding, tired and ready to go home.

So I immediately looked over at where Maci and all them were sitting and watching me and see her running into the cage towards me and wraps her arms around my neck while I wrap my arms around her waist and she does the most amazing thing that a woman has ever done to after a fight, she kissed me on my lips. Even though I was sweaty, she just kissed me and didn't care.

When she pulled back and looked at me, I could tell she was crying. So I wiped the tears away.

"Let's go home, my Love." I tell her.

She nods in agreement and I take hold of her hand and start to head back towards the locker room and of course, Lexi and Karl both hugged and congratulated me while on our way back.

Karl and Lexi both suggested we all go out and celebrate but honestly, all I really wanted to do was go home and be with Maci.

So while Karl and Lexi went out, Maci and I headed back towards the house and cuddled with one another as we laid in bed, looking in each other's eyes.

"You are so beautiful." I smile at her.

        "Thank you." She blushes.

Then right before we fall asleep, I say, "I love you."

She looks at me surprised and right as I began to feel nervous in thinking she wouldn't say it back to me or tell me that I shouldn't have said it, she does something I honestly didn't expect her to do.

"I love you too." She tells me with a smile.

We give each other a long and passionate kiss as we fall asleep in each other's arms.

I really am the luckiest guy in the world.
