HENRY
After explaining everything to her, I couldn't tell what she was thinking exactly, seeing as to how she had a blank facial expression.
"You still should have told me." She tells me.
"I know." I reply. "But I knew how you felt about your dad and I didn't want to get you involved in MY mess."
"It doesn't matter." She fires at me as she stands up and crosses her arms over chest while looking at me. "And from what you've been telling me so far, it is exactly what it looks like. Any business that involves my father is NEVER good and always ends badly and not to mention anyone that's involved in shit like that with ANYONE is stupid!" She snaps at me.
"Wow, really? You're gonna judge me?!" I start getting agitated, stand up and walk over towards her and stop halfway as I see her stop herself as she hits the wall. "What about you huh?! Daddy's Little Princess doesn't like being spoiled so you run away. Not all of us were born into money!" I finish, suddenly realizing what I just said to her. I can't believe I snapped at her and said all of that.
"Get out!" She says angrily while also sounding hurt too as I can see tears beginning to fall down her cheeks.
"Baby, I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." I started to say but was cut off by her telling me to get out again as she starts to push me and shuts the door in my face.
"Leave me alone Henry." She says on the other side of the door.
"No. I'm not leaving. I know I fucked up and never should have said those things to you. And until you forgive me or speak to me again, I'm not leaving this spot outside your door until we talk." I tell her with my forehead touching the door and as I turn around and lean my back against the door, I slide down to where I was sitting against the door.
I can't lose her and I will do whatever it takes to make sure I get out of this mess and to make things right between Maci and I.
*****************************************
All night long I never moved from my spot on the cold hardwood floor in front of her bedroom door.
I was woken up suddenly as soon as I felt myself fall back onto the floor from her opening up the door.
I immediately get up off the ground, rub my eyes and and look at her.
"Good morning." I tell her.
"Morning." She replies.
She looks so cute in her Nightmare Before Christmas PJ's.
We both stand there and share a brief moment of awkward silence between the both of us before I say something.
"Maci, I...." I began to say but was immediately stopped as I felt her gently place her lips onto mine.
We kissed for a few moments before pulling our heads back a little bit to catch our breaths.
"I'm sorry for what I said to you last night. I never should have said any of that." She says.
"It's okay. It's me who needs to apologize. I know you didn't have the luxurious lifestyle many think you would have had. It was immature and an asshole move to say that to you." I tell her.
"Let's just promise that we won't do that again and take cheap shots at one another no matter how mad we are at one another." She says.
"Deal." I reply and we continue kissing that soon heats up and has us end up making love to each other.
After both her and I made up, took a shower and got ready for the rest of the day, Maci was finishing grabbing her things when her cell phone rang.
"Hello?" She answers. "Oh my god, Lee, I was gonna call you today. I wanted to talk to you about something." She says. "Okay, yeah. That sounds good. Alright, see ya tonight. Okay, bye." She hangs up.
"Is Lee coming tonight?" I ask her curious as to why he was in town. She hasn't talked to him about having him help us and from the sounds of it, he didn't bring his wife.
I don't know. Maybe I'm being over paranoid. So we give each other a kiss goodbye and as she heads off to the salon, I head off to meet up with Arthur and end this once and for all.
Sorry for the short chapter but wait until the next chapter that will be posted soon! :);)
