Chapter 10: Le Baiser De L'amour Vrai

Gabriel Agreste studied the way his son looked at Marinette with such love, the way he had looked at Emilie once. "I never really realized he loved her..."

Adrien watched Marinette with sadness, tears forming in his green eyes that began to fall into her pale cheeks. He bent down placing his lips on her soft pink lips forming a true love's kiss.

Marinette looked at the illuminating butterfly on her nose and was sent a vision.

Marinette found herself looking at Gabriel Agreste, "What...?" She turned around to see Adrien holding her body. "Wait, how am I out here if I'm dead?" That's when Adrien leaned over Marinette and kissed her lips. Red and black light flew around them, sending images of her with Adrien.

Marinette blinked, tears began to slide down her cheeks making them shiny. She walked over to Adrien and sat next to him laying her head softly on his shoulder. The missing piece now fit completing the puzzle. "I love you, Adrien."

"I love you, Marinette," Adrien whispered burying his head into her hair.

"Marinette, you have to chose. The legion or," Marinette looked up to see May, " You leave and go home, " May said with a smile.

"But you said that there was no way I could go back," Marinette questioned.

May smiled again, "That was before he kissed you. A Le Baiser De L'amour Vrai." Marinette looked shocked. May nodded, "To go just say 'I wish to go home.'"

Marinette blinked then nodded, "Will I ever see you again?" May shook her head 'no.'

"But if you do, hopefully it's because of natural causes," May continued. A blank look washed over Marinette, May saw this and sighed, "Marinette. Just say the words."

"Uh, 'I wish to go home'" Red light washed over Marinette and she disappeared.

Adrien felt Marinette's chest heave and her heart beat rose. "Marinette?" He whispered his own heart beat rising. Her eyes fluttered open to reveal ocean blue eyes. He looked at her when Marinette cupped her hands over his cheeks and kissed him.

When they pulled apart a blush crept into Marinette's cheeks. "Are you alright?" Adrien asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine it isn't like I just died a moment ago," Marinette and Adrien both shared a laugh. Adrien kissed Marinette one more time expecting her to disappear into thin air.

"I can't believe you're here with me," Adrien whispered clasping Marinette's hand.

"I'll always be here for you Adrien Agreste, always." Marinette said staring at the fluttering ladybug watching them. "Thanks May."

"I'm sorry but I haven't had my other two wishes...," Gabriel said. Marinette and Adrien looked up, "I wish for the whole miraculous world to never belong to Chat Noir and Ladybug and for Marinette and Adrien to have never have met."
