Chapter 23

Aaron's POV

Coming to the office was a complete waste of my time, what needed to be sorted out could have been done from my home.

Sighing I get up and make my way towards the elevator, getting in I texted Ari to let her know that I'm coming home now.

5 minutes later and I still didn't get a reply so I assume that she's either sleeping or cooking, getting off the elevator I make my way outside.

I got into the car and told him that I need to stop by a flower shop, it was on the way home so it wasn't a bother.

We pulled up to the small but beautiful building, I got out and made my way inside.

"Hello how can I help you today??" a small old lady approached me.

"Hi, can I have a bouquet of red and white roses in a vase please" I smiled.

"Trying to make it up to the wife??" she smirked.

"No ma'am, she's my fiancee and loves roses" I laughed.

"That's so sweet of you, congratulations".

"Thank you", she nodded her head and walked off towards the different assortment of roses, pulling out 5 red roses and 5 white roses she grabs a vase and places them inside before filling it with water.

She sprinkles a bit of water on the roses giving them a nice look.

"Thank you, ma'am, how much??"

"Don't worry about the cost my child, it's on me, not every day does a man stop in and buys his lover roses" she smiles.

"Are you sure??"

"Yes, dear now head on home".

"Thank you again"

"You're welcome", not feeling right about just taking the roses I 'accidentally' dropped $100 in the store and walked off.

"Would you like me to take those sir??" Mr.Henderson asked once he saw me approaching.

"No it's ok", he nodded and opened the door for me I thanked him and got on.

"Anywhere else sir??"

"No, let's just go home", he drove off and 10 minutes later we arrived at my house.

"Thank you, Henderson"

"You're welcome sir ", with that I walked off and got inside.

"Hunni I'm home!!" I said but didn't get an answer which meant she was sleeping.

I placed the vase on the little table before heading upstairs I opened the door but I saw that the bed was empty, where could she be??, I walked to the game room since she loves to play call of duty.

Entering I found it empty, I checked the backyard and found it empty too, I checked the library but it was also empty.

I pulled out my phone and call Anna to ask if Ari is there but she said no, I called Lilli but got the same answer.

Sighing I called Ari's phone but it went straight to voicemail, feeling a headache coming on I walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water, I saw vegetables by the skin meaning she was going to cook.

She must've gone to the supermarket, I took a glass from out of the cupboard, I filled it with water and leaned against the sink when I saw a note on the island, why hadn't I seen it the first time??

Picking it up I unfold it and something fell out looking down I realized it was Ari's ring, I looked back at the letter.

She won't be needing this once she's dead but you can save it for me although my ring size is 35 I'll let it fit. Don't come trying to find her she'll probably be dead by then.

What the actual fuck was this!! This must be some kind of sick joke it has to be!!

Merda!! (shit!!), I cursed as I ran out of the house and towards my car, can this be some other mafia trying to play a joke on me?? But why now, why after all these years would they want to do it.

To bring you down, my subconscious mind said, you are after all the most powerful ad ruthless mafia leader.

I sped off to have a meeting with my men.

Shai's POV

My head was killing me and my body hurts, it's as if a train had hit me, I would have rather died.

Opening my eyes I looked around the unfamiliar place trying to figure out how I got here and like a ton of bricks it all came back to me. Someone kidnapped me!!.

Hearing a door slam open snapped me out of my thoughts, the room was dimly lit so I had to strain my eyes to see who it was, I saw two bulky figures approaching and by instinct I back up but soon my back connected with the cold wall and I was trapped.

"The boss wants to see you," one of them said and with that, they grabbed me and started to drag me out of the room.

I started to thrash around until one of them pulled out a gun making me stop all movements, I wasn't afraid of the gun, afterall I grew up with my father teaching me to use different types of guns, I was afraid of the person holding the gun.

They continued to walk until we came face to face with two double doors, knocking twice I heard a voice say come in, one of the guards pushed the doors open while the other pushed me into the office making me fall.

I shook my head to rid the dizziness before looking up, I gasped when I saw who it was, glaring guard?? No!! It can't be!!.

"Ciao Puttana" he smirked, I stared blankly at him trying my best to cover up my fear.

"Why am I here!! What do you want!! You're so dead when Aaron finds me!! I hope he kills yo-", a hard slap was all I felt right there and then.

"You will learn how to speak to me properly little girl!!" He shouted.

"Vaffanculo!!! I hope you rot in hell!!", after that statement, it's like his eyes turned blood red.

"Get her out of my sight now!!", and with that, I was dragged out of the room and back in the same direction we came in.

I didn't even bother to trash around, I very much wish to not have any more bruises.
