Chapter 5

Aaron's POV

Shai was still upstairs sleeping, my doctor came last night and gave her some pills to help with the pain but will also make her sleep a lot.

Thinking about last night brings back the memories of me looking into her beautiful blue eyes and the weird feeling that came over me, I tried to forget it but seem to can't stop thinking about it and her.

Shaking my head I made my way over to the coffee machine to make my morning beverage.

Shai's POV

Feeling the sun shining on my face I open my eyes only for the sun to shine right in them, realizing that I hadn't closed the curtains.

Groaning I swung my legs off and hopped off only for the pain to shoot through my ankle and making me stumble, suddenly last night's events came back to me making me sigh.

Limping my way to the bathroom, if anyone saw me right now they would probably laugh at how funny looking I was.

I washed my face before brushing my teeth, I then limped my way over to the closet and found a strapless sundress, putting it on I limped my way out the room and down the stairs, making sure not to fall.

Finally making it down I was met by Aaron.

"Why didn't you call me so that I could help you down??"

"Aaron, I have a sprained ankle I'm not crippled " I chuckled.

I saw his eyes move from my face unto my shoulder and immediately his face contoured into horror.

"Shai what happened to your shoulder??"

"What??" I asked confused, he pointed to my shoulder and when I looked down I saw that I had a bruise.

Remembering the incident in the kitchen I sighed and as if the devil could read my mind he appeared.

"Now tell me what happened??"

The 'glaring guard' stood there with his face hard staring at me as if challenging me to tell Aaron what exactly happened.

"I think I must have hit it when I fell last night" but Aaron didn't seem convinced but he didn't push it which I am thankful for.

"How is your ankle?" he asked changing the topic.

"The pills really work because I totally forgot about it this morning, well that was until I hopped out of bed like I literally hopped out of bed"

"Wow"

"What is it?" I tilted my head,

"It's just that, that's the most you've said to me, that's 28 words in one sentence, I'm honored" he grinned

"Firstly, that wasn't even weird at all, secondly I've only known you since last night"

"Point taken" he let out a full-blown laugh which caught me off guard but giving him a one nod I limped my way into the kitchen.

Pushing the double doors I made sure there weren't any other glaring guards around but what also surprised me is the fact that there aren't any maids here.

"No maids?"

"No, I didn't want to burden you with it being your first day here"

"So thoughtful of you" I playfully cooed.

"Haha, so funny, I think we will get along fine, don't you think??"

"Don't push your luck Papii"

"Ouuu nicknames already" he raised his brows up and down, ignoring him I started making breakfast.

"All jokes aside, I'm going to work today might be back by 7"

"Ok, I'll make dinner" already picturing what to make.

Just as he was about to leave the kitchen I called his name,

"Yes??"

"Umm, since I'm going to be here for the whole day can I have my best friend over, and aren't you going to eat??"

"This is your house too Ari, so yes you can have over whoever you want, as for eating, I've already eaten"

"Ok I just wanted to ask permission still"

"I understand" looking down at his watch he said he was leaving out now nodding my head I told him to be safe.

Taking my toasts from the toaster, I placed them on a plate, walking to the fridge I took out a bottle of OJ and an apple, sitting at the island I began eating.

Unknown POV

I wanted to get rid of her today, it was a perfect time because Aaron wasn't here and his stupid guards weren't much of a problem but the stupid girl had to go and invite someone over which complicated things for me because it was a kidnap and kill plan but her friend will only get in the way.

Gripping the steering wheel tighter I watch the little whore laugh with her friend making me feel sick.

I guess it's time for me to start sending her threats just enough to scare her off.        
   
Shai's  POV
     
              4 Hours Later

Anna came over shortly after Aaron went to work and now we were outside sitting by the pool, today was sunny so this is where we've been since she came over 4 hours ago.

"Can we go to the mall tomorrow??"

"Why Anna?? So you can drag me around?"

"Oh come on Ari, I need your sense of fashion" she grinned

"Fine, fine I'll come but you're buying me lunch"

"That is the least I can do hun"

"Whatever Anna, let's go inside I need to start preparing dinner"

I got up from my spot with a bit of struggle since I was sitting at the poolside.

"I'll have to take a lot of painkillers tomorrow or else we'll spend the whole day at the mall and God forbids!!"

"Ok, Miss. Druggie go and get high off of those pills" Anna joked while I feigned hurt.

"I'm deeply hurt by your words Anna"

"You'll live" and with that, she shrugged making me gasp, a minute passed before we broke into giggles.

A couple of minutes passed before we finally calmed down making our way to the kitchen.

Going to the fridge I took out the ingredients I needed to make the alfredo pasta since I know that Aaron is Italian, I know that he wouldn't mind it, I hope.

                 15 minutes later

"Damn girl that smells good"

"Thank you, you can have some to go"

"And this is why we're best friends" Anna smiled.

I let the pasta cook some more before getting a to-go dish and put some of the food in it for Anna, handing it to her I walked her to the door.

"Bye sweetie, I'll see you tomorrow, do you want me to pick you up?"

"Yes Anna, I would love that".

Hugging her one last time I watched her walk to her car and drive off before I got back inside.

Seeing as it was just 5 o'clock I decided to go and read since I wasn't really hungry but 10 minutes into the book I got sleepy so I just closed my eyes.

Just a little reminder that "Ari" is Shai's middle name, sorry if I caused any confusion.
