Declan
We are standing at the door. She has this scary grin on her face. I don't know what she has in mind but if she wants to go in, honestly right now, I'm up for anything.
"Should I be scared?"
She smiles big. So big you can see the dimples on each side of her face. She takes a second to think about my question. Then, nods her head. She reaches for my hand and intertwined our fingers. I can feel my eyes widen. I look at her small hand in my big one. This can't be happening! But no! It is! I'm so glad she opens the door and walks inside because if she didn't and stayed, looked at me. She would've seen my red face. I get it now. She wants me to play her boyfriend again. This is going to be fun.
The guys don't see us. They have their backs to us. They have girls with them and one of them is my ex, Grace. Now, this is going to be fun.
The waitress sits us at a booth a few seats from them. All the guys are here. Tyler, Chris, Jack, and Alex. I don't like them anymore. I only think one is cool, and that's Alex. He's the only one over there that has dark hair and dark eyes. His skin is a dark tan from being in the sun all day. He is almost as tall as me. He just got here this summer so I know he hasn't said anything to Ivory. He's pretty funny, loyal and I told him about Ivory, how I feel about her. He doesn't like the guys due to how that treat people but he doesn't know how to get out of there. He's the only of the guys who has a nice girlfriend. I see her talking to Ivs, sometimes at school.
But Tyler, Chris, and Jack are a different story. All three are brothers. They're triplets. They all look the same. With dirty blonde and dark green eyes. They all are 6 foot. All three are skinny and all of them are pure evil. They think they are untouchable. That they are better than everyone else. I used to think it too but since what happen. I hated who I was back then. If I wasn't like that, She would be here. My little teddy bear would be here.
The waitress comes to get what drinks we want. Ivory gets a lemonade. I got a hot chocolate. She is looking over the menu and is so infatuated with it. I already know what I want so I don't look at it. She looks over the top of her menu looking at me.
"You not hungry?"
"No, this is my aunt Julie's restaurant. I've been coming here for years. The only reason why those guys are here because I brought them here," I point to the guys. "The food here is pretty good. What am I saying, the food here is amazing."
"How are the pancakes? I am very particular with my pancakes," She raises an eyebrow.
"Yes, they can make your pancakes however you want them, Ivory," I tell to her as I am trying not to burst out laughing. I don't want them to come over here. I don't want to my aunt to come out here. She will call my dad. I'm not ready for him to meet Ivory. Then my mom will be mad he meet Ivory before she could.
"I will take your word for it," She looks back to her menu with a smile.
The waitress came back but this time it's someone I know. It's my little 16 year old cousin. She works for her mom all the time. She loves working here. She's a very pretty girl. She still needs to grow into her face. She has red hair and the earth colored eyes that runs in my family. I got my moms black hair. But my dad and his sisters are from Ireland. Their parents moved here when my dad was 8. He has 3 younger sisters. My dad has a faint Irish accent. So does his sisters but his parents accents are extremely strong.
My cousin here doesn't have one. She looks up from her table of drinks she is carrying and gives me a warm smile.
"Hey, Dec! I haven't seen you in here in a while," She says to me as she turns to look at Ivory. Her eyes go wide. "How on earth did you score a date with someone so pretty? Did he pay you?" She asked Ivory. I was about to say we weren't on a date but Ivory beat me to it or I thought that's what she was going to say.
