"Anything else?" I ask Era as I am putting up the rest of the dishes.

"You shouldn't even be doing anything in the first place, it's your birthday! But no thank you for all your help, now go with Declan before he loses his mind," she points to the door and as I expected, Declan is standing right there.

He dressed up fancy tonight. He didn't wear his normal jeans and a T-shirt. He wore dress up pants and a light blue button up. He gives me a little shrug and put the hands through his hair and jesters for us to go to the door. Is it time for his present? Or present if I might say he said there was more than one. I just hope you didn't spend a lot of money.

I turned to look at Era, give her her smile then walked to Declan. The whole house is empty now. No more little children running around craving Declan's attention. No more sisters begging me to take baby clothes when I'm still a virgin. It's just me, Declan's parents, and most importantly Declan. We haven't gotten much time to spend together on my birthday. But this is one of the best birthdays i've ever had ever since my ninth one. All the family time, all the stories, all the laughing, all the warmth, all the love. It's still all circling the living room as if its atmosphere the in there. It's been so long that I've had a whole room not hate me or be scared to defend me. It just feels nice, it feels freaking amazing.

"You ready?" I asked Declan when we get to his car. When we walk to his car we had to pass my brand new car. I was so excited my heart was going to explode when they showed it to me. It just made me realize how much they truly do care, that they took the time and effort to fix a car that was supposed to be mine years ago.

"The better question is, are you ready, birthday girl? Because the party hasn't officially started until we do what I have planned," he says opening my door and helping me in. He reaches up to kiss me. After a couple seconds of that he pulls back and has red lipstick on his lips. I reach up to wipe it away with my fingers. When I do he looks at me as if he's going to kiss me again but even longer and heavier than last.

"Behave yourself, Declan."

He growls at me, gives me a kiss on the cheek, closes the door, and walks to his side.
He gets in the car turns on the engine as I turn up the music of old R&B love songs. He sings along with me. He gets more with the groove, starts being silly, and dramatic. After about 20 minutes of driving we pull up to a park. That's completely empty, no kids, just an empty playground.

"First it was baby clothes and now we're at a playground. Are you trying to tell me something?" I ask him jokingly.

"No, it's just the one place that no one would disturb us at."

"Well?"

"Oh yeah, here," he says as he digs in his pocket for two small velvet boxes.

"More jewelry?"

"I have to have you blinging!"

I roll my eyes and take one of the boxes. I open it up and it's a gold necklace that says my name. I raised my eyebrows, he see my confidence and opens the next box and that one look the same but with his name.

"You wear my name and I wear yours. If I am nut around you and you need me just hold the necklace and it will be like I am there. Because I want to be there no matter what and as long as you will let me," He explains with a smile. He takes the one with his name, moves his finger in a circle telling me to turn around. I turned around as much is the car will let me move my braids out of the way and let him put the necklace on me. When it lays down on my neck, I put my hand over it wrapping my fingers round cold metal.

"Your turn," I say to him. He does the same thing as I did but he looks more manly doing it. When I clasp pretty necklace together I reach over and kiss the back of his neck. "Thank you," I whisper in his ear. I can feel a chill run down his back.

"Come on, there's something else for you."

We both get out of the car by ourselves. I don't let him open the door for me this time. He meets me in the front of the car takes my hand and guides me under a tree. As my eyes adjust to the darkness and only the moon as the light. I see that there's candles, blanket, and a picnic basket.
"What's in there?"

"Look and see," we sit down on the blanket he pushes the basket towards me and I open it. The whole basket is full of my favorite breakfast foods.

"No! Breakfast for dinner my favorite!" He laughs, tells me that him and his mom made it but he did most of the work and we start to eat.

"This the best pancake I have ever had, Declan!"

"If you stick with me you will get it every morning," he say pushing the rest of his food to me. I look down to make sure he ate all the healthy foods, then I take the plate and eat the rest. When we get done eating he packs up the basket and lays flat on the blanket. I do the same and lay on his chest but trying not to touch him on his stomach. We look up at the stars for a while. I tell him all the constellations, I know from all the years of looking up at them.

He moves his hands to my waist, sits up and puts me on his lap. Before I can tell him to be careful he meets our lips and I melt. Getting lost in the kiss like never before. I have been so scared to have a real make out session because I didn't want you hurt him on accident but the way he is holding me now, I can tell he is far from being hurt.

The only sound is our heavy breathing and the sound of little animals trying to find their way in the dark. I used to be like them but I am not in the dark any longer. I am finally happy, I'm not faking a smile, I'm not homeless, I'm not a bad luck but I am in love with the boy I have hated forever and I couldn't be more happy in my life. I am eve more happy when I feel Declan's hands move down from my back to my waist. He is doing that thing again, when he holds me for dear life as if I'm going somewhere.

We come up for air after what feels like hours of kissing. He moves his hands to my face and cleans the lipstick. I smile and do the same to him. When we are done cleaning the red makeup. He cups my face and just kisses the tip of my nose.

"I love you." That feeling I get in my stomach when he says that to me, it won't ever go away. I don't know what the future may hold but I am good for right now.

"I know, you have said it over a thousand times but I love you, too," I say putting my hands on his chest to get up. He tries to keep there, "We can do a lot more of this at home, okay?"
He stops in his tracks and looks at me, "Home?"

I didn't even realize I said that. I smile, pull him up and warp my arms around his neck and say, "Yes, Mr. Alexander. Let's go home." I have never meant something more in my whole life. I have a home, not a house that I just go to and sleep at but a home. Where people want me there and love me there. I won't ever say that I am homeless ever again.

He pulls me in to kiss him again and we stand there in the moonlight kissing just like a fairytale but this fairytale isn't ever going to end.
