Declan

I wake up to the smell of bacon surrounding my room. That's how I know moms made breakfast. I sit up and stretch and look around my room. I see bags that I know aren't mine then I remember that those are Ivory's bags. But she's not in here. Maybe she decided that she doesn't want to be with  me and just left without taking her stuff. But not taking her books, she is still here somewhere.

I don't bother grabbing a shirt. I don't feel like putting one on. I get out of bed and walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth. The bathroom smells different. It's smells like my mom shampoo and conditioner. I look in the shower and see that's it's in there. Did Ivory take a shower?
When I get done, I get out of the bathroom. I run down stairs. When I get down there, I go to the kitchen first she's not in there, but there is food so mom was here. Start to look around the house. She's isn't in here, maybe she did leave. I go back to the kitchen, I check the clock. It says 8:30. Mom and dad are at work. By the steam in the bathroom Ivory was in there not to long ago.
Then I remember what kind of person she is and head outside to the back. I found her there reading in a chair that has a good view of the woods behind the house.

She looks up at me and smiles.

"Our very own sleeping beauty is wake. Who kissed you up?" She says as she puts the book down. I'm not looking anywhere except her face. Her hair is wet, drying a little bit but still wet. No makeup on which is so little in the first place.

"Well, I'm actually just sleepwalking. I'm still asleep. Will you kiss me awake?" I say and pull her out of the chair. She laughs and I guess she wasn't expecting me to pull her out. She lost her step and slipped. I catch her with one arm.

"Am I still sleeping or are you wearing my shirt?"

"Kiss me and see." She says and I bend down to meet our lips together. That fire from last night wasn't all in my head. She stands up straight, put her hands on my shoulders pulling me closer, then puts them in my hair. My hands are on her lower back. I slip them up her back to the back of her head. I feel her body get washed over with a shiver.

The kiss is like a wake up call. Telling me I am kissing Ivory Morgan and I'm not getting hit. She forgave me, I kiss her deeper for it. She doesn't know how much it means to me. She's be protected by me as long as she lets me. I'm not going anywhere.

As I am remembering last night I am remembering her on me and me no her. Feeling much much she wanted me. Remembering the way her neck  felt like under my lips and how that made her back arch.

Slow down, Declan.

We come up for air after a couple seconds. We are breathing hard like last night. I keep my eyes closed. I'm afraid if I open them up that me kissing her was just all in my imagination. That letting me to touch her.

"You still asleep?" She asked as she softly touches my face with the tip of her fingers.

"I think so. You're kissing me. So yeah, I am."

"Whatever. You hungry? Your mom made so much food, I can't believe she could do that much. She's like a freaking superhero!"

"Yeah, that's my mom." I say as I open eyes. "You really are wearing my shirt!" I wrapped my arms around her waist and lift her up. She laughs. I feel her body shake from the laugh.

"I didn't like my tank top." She explained.

"I don't want you to take it off."

"Ugh, put me down."

I put her down after a second of hesitation. She takes my hand and walks with me to the kitchen. I let my eyes wander around down to the top of her longs legs. I bite my lip from looking to long. I try to think of something to take my mind off of that.

"Why didn't you eat while I was asleep?"

"I didn't feel like eating alone."

"Good answer."

I get the plates and she gets out the food from the refrigerator. I see that my mom made chocolate chip pancakes. I forgot that I told her that. I hope Ivory doesn't think that's weird.

"The food is all cold." She says in a disappointed voice. "I guess your mom thought you'd wake up sooner."

"We can put the food on the stove for a second or two. That should warm it up." I suggest.
She nods. When she does some of her hair falls in her face. I walk over to her. She looks at me confused. I tuck her wet hair behind her ear. I leave my hand there to cup her gorgeous face. She looks up at me with this sweet and soft look on her face.

"Is that what you were going to do that first day?" She asked with pink cheeks.

I nod and she smiles. I will never get enough of her smile. Or her beautiful caramel colored skin. I can't get enough of her. I want to kiss her again. I bend down to do so but she stops me.

"Get your hormones under control because I'm hungry!" She say and pushes me away.

I roll my eyes, she takes the pan from the bottom cabinet. I put it on the stove, then turn it on. When it gets hot enough I quickly put the pancakes in there just to warm them up. I do that with the eggs, Bacon, and sausage. I put the warmed food on a plate and give it to her.

She's sitting in a chair that is seated at the island in the kitchen. As I'm giving her the plate she raises an eyebrow looking at me.

"What?"

"Nothing, it's just I didn't know that you know how to turn on the stove."

"I know how to do a lot of things," I say in a playful voice. She rolls her eyes as she stuffs food in her face. I guess she really was hungry because just as I sit down to eat, her plate is empty and she's getting up to get more. She catches me looking at her as she puts another pancake on her plate.

"What? Ever seen a girl who eats for her and not for you."

"No, All Grace ever got when we were together was a salad."

"Well, unlike Grace, I like food and I don't care if you think I'm gross when I eat. Having the body, I do I can't just eat a salad and be full. My mom tried, that didn't work. She wanted to be skinny as all the other white women in her little group. She got an eating disorder from it. So every time I have food I stuff my face just to get on her nerves." She say with a big smile on her face.

She sits back down next to me with a half full plate of food. I know I'm smiling like an idiot but I can't help it. She is more than I could ever want.

"You going to the mall with Claire?" I ask remembering that she say something about it.

"Oh, no. She got stuck babysitting for her baby sister." She says with a peace of pancake in her mouth.

"What are you going to do today?"

"I don't know. I was going to stay here and read."

"No! You can't! You are living under my roof and you're going to have fun!" I tell her in a big and dramatic voice. She chuckles.

"Oh, yeah? What do you think I should do for fun, mom?"

"Well, sweetheart." I say in a house wife voice. Which makes her crack up laughing. "I think you should go on a date with that very handsome and charming Declan Alexander. He's been following you around like a puppy dog and it's kind of getting embarrassing for our family." I get up to clean off my plate.

"You think so, mom. You think I should give him a chance." I walk back to her.

"Yes, I think you should. And so he didn't go crazy, I think you should kiss him too." I say back in my normal voice. I reach her and put my hands on her waist, pulling her out of her chair and to me.

"Mom! That's inappropriate! You don't want me to call dad and tell him that you are hitting on your own daughter. " She puts her hands on the back of my neck.

"Shut up!" I laugh and kiss her.
