Ellie was beyond livid at this point.
Not only was she a guest in her own home, but now she was seated across from the man who'd stolen her husband and child.
Hei smirked as he continued to rock little Kei to sleep and maintained eye contact with the bitch who abandoned him.
"You know it'll never be real right?"
"Pardon?"
"You'll never be his real mother. You're a guy."
"True, but I've been more of a mom than you ever have. Besides he's only a baby, we'll correct him when he's about two or three."
"By we, you mean his father and I right? We're his parents, not you."
"Tell me, why are you so hostile? After all you're the one who up and left your husband and child to chase a silly little pipe dream."
"That's none of your business!!"
"Kei wasn't even a year old yet!!"
Said child cringed from the yelling and curled closer to Hei who held him a bit tighter.
"That's it, give me my son."
"He's my son now."
"Who even are you?!"
"He's my boyfriend. My partner. He's what you were supposed to be."
Cain had reentered the room after checking on Haise who was still asleep.
"When did you become gay?"
"I've always been bi, I even told you that. But you didn't listen as always. It was always about Ellie."
"Cain you know that's not true."
"I know it's true. I know you're a cold selfish bitch who only cares about herself and her needs and wants."
"Cain-"
"SHUT UP!!"
Kei started wailing so Hei got up and took him out of the toxic environment so he could calm him down. Bitch had came in and fucked up everything.
"Cain regardless of how you feel about me, I am his mother. You can't just bring someone around who I don't approve of. He could be a danger to our son."
"The only danger I see is him being spoiled rotten by two people who love him."
"Cain I think-"
"I don't want to hear it."
"Fine. Then you leave me no choice. I had hoped to come here and reconcile but no more."
She opened her purse and pulled out an envelope before handing it to him.
"What's this?"
"Divorce papers."
"These say you get full custody and I get supervised visitation."
"That's right. I knew you wouldn't be in your right mind after I left and obviously I was right. You're clearly not stable enough to make good decisions and definitely not stable enough to raise my son."
"He stopped being your son the moment you left him!"
"The courts won't see it that way. Oh Cain, if only you'd just seen reason."
"I think you need to go."
"I do too. I'll see you in court..."
Ellie stood up and walked past her former lover and headed towards the front door where Hei, Kei, and Haise were standing.
